The battle begun. Isidar lashed out at Van in an attempt to destroy him. She punched him hard in the gut and some venom dripped out of her hand onto his shirt which burned through his shirt and left a stinging sensation. Misery followed Isidar's lead and bit Van. Vincent and Van, after Isidar finished her attacks, countered valiantly and attacked her numerous times and the healer Perrian and the squirel Misery could only stand their and watch in horror of what they couldn't stop. Isidar laid on the ground unconcious.

Perrian sighs and sees what must be done, Isidar tried to take out Van and her work won't be left unfinished in this tournament. He charged a ball of energy and shot it towards Van, which unfortunately barely worked and harmed Perrian more than it harmed Van. He then shot a white binding energy from his staff towards Vincent and Luljeta started to heal Perrian's wounds.

"My apologies once more." Vincent mumbles as he turns from the now unconcious form of Isidar to Perrian and Misery, "Well...time to end this. Van, hold on a little longer!" Vincent charges forward, swiping Misery witht he flat of his blade and sending the poor squirell flying before Vincent clashes into Perrian.

Misery sensed his end. With all the fury a fur ball could manage he lunched himself at Van. At top speed he hurdled at Van then lunched himself into the air. He uncurled moments before impact all claws and teeth in one last dire attempt to take down Van.

Van gasps at the pain of Isidar's attack, the venom from her fingers spreading a fiery sensation through his veins. Van pauses, momentarily stunned, he places his free hand over the wound.
The monk feels an unexpected new surge of gnostic energy flowing through him. As Misery flies in for a last attack, Van looks up, then raises his hand. Not this time little friend. He says. The squirrel abruptly halts in mid air a mere six inches from it's intended target. Then with a flicking gesture, Misery is flung into the range of Vincent's tender mercies.
Concentrating he levitates a large boulder, then hurls the projectile at Perrian. Then shifting the energy to his limbs, Van moves with new speed, deftly sidestepping the incoming tazer bolt. The black light from his sword is little more that coruscating streaks in the air before him.

Perrian and Misery falls onto the ground, the battle is over. A healing magic is spread over the field from the field's magic generator. Slowly, Isidar, Misery, and Perrian are revived.

At the battle's end Van politely bows to his contestants. Challenge well met. He says, You are skilled opponents.

"I must say...striking at friends is not the most enjoyable act I've ever done...but I found this match...enjoyable to say the least." Vincent smiles as he turns on his heal to wait for the next match.
