Have you heard of Cantabile?
I have~ Er, from BakaUndine.
Speaking of her, (BakaUndine) here's info on Cantabile right off of her!BakaUndine Cantabile is a character from Tales of Fandom 2. She pretty much only appears in a giant Tear flashback. From what I've seen, she becomes Tear's combat instructer once Tear finds out that Legretta is helping Van with the whole SPOILER: "KILL EVERYONE PLAN". END SPOILER However, she is mentioned in a book in Daath, listed with the God Generals. Why she never appeared in the actual TotA game, only Namco knows. eek Or the majority of the Japanese fandom. XD

She's a character from Tales of World, actually, I think.

I've heard of her, but know practically nothing about her.
Except that a lot of fic writers and roleplayers use her as a Mary Sue that they can claim isn't one because she's "not an OC". Uh huh. rofl

LOL! I haven't looked at any ToTA roleplays or fanfics in forever, so I didn't know that 'till now, Jestina.
That's funny, and I need to find that picture I saw of her somewhere...
It's possible to use such a serious looking character as a Mary Sue? xDD

@Jestina: Huh, really? With the fanfics I've seen with her, she wasn't a mary sue at all. Except for one, when she was apparently a replica of Yulia... But she was more of an anti-sue then because she was all villian-y and stuff. As for me, with the one roleplay I'm doing with my friend, I portray her as a crazy drunken lesbian. XD.... Yeah, it's kind of crackish. razz

Yeah, it's kind of crackish. razz Well, I've seen more fanfics with her where she didn't seem to be a sue, than ones where she was, and the sue-ness was never crazy-over-the-top or anything. So "a lot" is overstating it. sweatdrop I think it sticks in my mind out of proportion because the mentality of "A character that was named once/got one scene somewhere/etc. is TOTALLY TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM AN OC" ran completely rampant in the parts of Harry Potter fandom I used to frequent and resulted in a lot of blatant Sues. So now if I see an example of the same mentality in another fandom, even if it's just a handful of cases, I go AAAAAHHH NOOOO NOT THAT AGAIN HELP!!!!!

..... Maybe she was in a coma the whole time? I think something happened to her for her to be replaced by Asch. Who knows, she might as well be dead in the game.... Plus she looked pretty old when Tear was little. So I guess she'd be around Jade's age? OR SHE CAN SHOW UP IN THE SEQUEL IF THERE EVER IS ONE DD:

@Jestina: ... Ugh. Sounds awful. Well, a lot of TotA fanfiction IS starting to go down the pooper, but all the ones with Cantabile in them are really good. She pretty much serves as a regular god general. And she's portrayed rather well. biggrin
@The Stalking Fairy: Hmm, maybe. They don't really say what happens to her, just that she was the one who trained Tear until she went to kill Van at the beginning of the game. YES SHE SHOULD SHOW UP IN THE SEQUEL! SHE KICKS a**! > biggrin
