We all make mistakes sometimes but... Ok... so I got an idea for a comic based off of a dream a friend of mine had.
It's about a girl who doesn't believe in God, ends up driving some one into committing suicide and in the beginning of the comic she's sitting in the church where his funeral is at... "praying". She looks up and explains how she has tried to pray... but has never felt any thing from doing it. Which is why she doesn't believe in God. Then it flashes forward in time to where she's dead, and she's neither an angel nor devil. Yet... she's both, a half-ling. All of her friends from earth have died one way or another... she died after being chased... then jumped off the side of the building to get away from the man chasing her.
Well, she then decides that she'll be a guardian, and is assigned to guard a girl who is the daughter of the girl she had a crush on when she was on earth. Only as a guardian there's one rule... never fall in love with the one you guard. She ends up breaking this rule, and as punishment, she is banished from both heaven and hell... and has her black wings torn off.
Through out the comic it constantly has flashbacks to when she was alive on earth. Showing why she became neither hell bent nor heaven sent while at the same time able to go freely between the two until she was banished.
While she was alive she had two best friends, one ended up being a close assistance to God, the other for Satan. Not too long after she is banished her friends send a messenger and tell her that there's one way for her to get her wing(s). To get her left wing from the devil she must destroy a life... but to get her right wing from God she must save a life. Of course, wanting both wings she tries to find a way to get both. During her journey she realizes that both Heaven and Hell have sent armies out to kill her.
What do you guys think?

The plot is flawed. Why send armies when there's both Samael and Michael, the Angels of Death? Why would they even attack her? She only a halfling, wouldn't the powers of light and darkness cancel each other out leaving her powerless? If she is banished from both heaven and hell, does that mean she now immortal? I don't know much about Christian myths and culture seeing as I been an atheist all my life. Sorry I can't really help you much. sweatdrop

We all make mistakes sometimes but... Well... it's not really being based off of Christian belief. ^_^; Flawed a little... yes... but so is the bible itself.
The reason why they're both after her is because she 1) keeps helping... and killing angels and or devils on her search... 2) God and Satan decided 'lets make this more difficult for her...' 3) No one has ever gotten their wings back...
She basically is immortal... but she's already dead. She lived her life, screwed up the lives of others, died. After she dies Heaven and Hell have no idea what to do with her... after all... she has black wings... thus... she's partially and angel... who doesn't belong. So God and Satan give her free will to go back and forth from Hell and Heaven. She eventually gets bored, asks for permission to become a guardian, breaks the rule and was then exiled from Heaven and Hell and thus begins the search for her wings.
Yeah... it's a bit confusing...

I see, you can also say that she is fighting to protect her loved one and getting her wings back will help her. 3nodding

Don't be afraid to take ideas and mythos from other writers, good writers borrow, great writers steal. 3nodding

i like the new religion idea..... and wiccan religion also has reincarnation, so that may be difficult to have the pantheon work....
but i Really like the new religion piece.... and if you look at what le duke of undertaker said, a Lot of writers create new religions, i know someone who has a whole mythology.... biggrin

We all make mistakes sometimes but... Yeah, I'll probably take gods and goddesses from multiple religions as well. XD But, I want a goddess of death. I'll probably make her pretty so the main character's like "wow, you're pretty" "what, you didn't think that death could be pretty too??"
