my mom wants to get rid of my 3 month old puppy that we got only 3 weeks ago!!!

I dont want to get rid of her but my mom keeps telling me that if my puppy doesnt behave in a week she will give her back to the woman we got her from. I dont want her to leave and i dont know what to do anymore. I tryed everything, but nothing is working.

If you can help me find a way to keep my puppy i would love it so much. I just love my puppy soooo much to give her away.

Have you tried taking your puppy to lessons? What exactly does she do?

That's horrible. She's so cute! When getting a puppy your mom should have realized that training takes time and patience. You can't expect them to automatically do what you want. They're just babies. With discipline and lots of encouragement when she gets it right, your puppy will get over any bad habits she might have at first. It's not fair to kick her out for not knowing any better!

Awww so cute! Have you tried special collars or maybe a dog trainer. It isn't very good when you don't give a dog a chance, I have had my dog for a year and we got her a trainer and after that she was great! Before she couldn't even walk on a leash. I think a trainer would be your best option right now but it takes time for puppies to learn so just try your best!

That is horrible. If i were you i would go and take a while to talk to your mom and say "Mom i really do love this puppy and if that got taken away from me i don't know what i would do" and explain that you will try to get your dog to listen and behave. Try going to puppy lessons.?!?! btw i think your puppy is adorable

well then I'm sorry, but your mum is an a*****e. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just my mate James has a dog- 5 years of age- and he still isn't properly trained!! Ya, thing is, your mum obviously isn't an expert on dogs, and 3 weeks doesn't give a dog enough time to settle into it's new home. It's a gradual thing. So you need to explain the reality of te situation to your mum and maybe she'll see sense.
I would say take him to puppy classes, but not only does it cost money, I feel it's better to self dicipline your own dog. When teaching him at first you must bribe him with a treat. Keep the treat in your hand, but when he does what you want him to do you feed him the treat and really show how good he was for doing so. You must repeatedly do this if you want a fast response.

That wouldn't be fair to the dog! You got her at an age when she needs to be trained. You can't just expect her to be perfect from birth.
When we got our puppy, we had an older dog too. We got the older one from a shelter, and she was a good find. She was already trained and behaved well, so the puppy learned from watching her.
Just keep trying, gently but firmly. Puppies have to be taught what is acceptable behavior.
