That was said about rock music too at one point.

True, but Rock isn't as harsh.
It was for its time, perhaps something more harsh then metal will come out and replace metal. Actually stuff already is appearing like Robot Death Music, Power Electronics(non-ambient stuff).

because everyone else, christian and non christian alike, was already doing it. i just sat there and laughed at 1) his logical fallacies, 2) how upset everyone was getting, and 3) how no one seemed to understand that you CANT convince a guy like that that he is wrong, no matter what you do. it's impossible.

i was on my way to class and he was preaching. i thought "hmm, go to a boring class, or laugh at this situation all afternoon?" i chose the latter
