On Role play

The Citadel is now open for Role Play! More 'rooms' are in the making, rest assured.

The first post on these threads give forth the description and ambiance needed for roleplay. It is a background, if you wish, or setting sort of like the furniture in a room. Remember that these official threads are open to the public, and if you have the desire to role play a private Story Line (SL) you will have to make your own thread and state othwerise. Remember that by doing so, each thread holder is accountable for the actions portrayed in their SLs and the moderators have the right to take action by deleting said threads.*

Please keep all social IC and OoC interaction within Gaia's TOS.

On Player Threads Beyond The Official Threads

For organization as well as aesthetic purposes, I ask that the following steps be followed. -- Keep it in mind that as moderators, we are giving you quite a bit of freedom regarding these threads by not asking that you fill out 'submission forms'. Do not stray from said steps and individual threads will stay submission form free.

1. Keep the provided title format.

Room - Title (status).

Room: Would be the abbreviation of the main room in which the SL would be held in.

Title: Title of the SL

Status: The Status of your SL i.e. Open (to anyone), Closed (no one other than yourself can post in it) or Private (only those you want in the story line can post). This is not meant for 'active' or 'inactive' flags as the most active threads will remain at the top by default. Color also plays part in this.

Example:

TC - Inner Demons (Closed)

This would mean that the SL titled "Inner Demons" is being played in The Citadel by no one other than the author.

2. Guidelines:

* No Derrogatory/curse words may be used in the title.
* Proper spelling needs to be used.
* Keep it short.

-- That is it. Happy Role Playing! --

* Moderator Rights

Those who have the moderator title should be respected, as this is not an easy job. They have the power to ban, invite, manipulate player posts and delete player threads/individua posts. Their course of action depends on your reaction.

1. Warnings.

Should Gaia's TOS be broken at any time, our moderators have the right to issue a warning, both in the Guild and PMs. Warnings need to be sent to four people:

Me, 21st Cherry Boy, the admin who issued the warning and to the person being warned.

Warnings are un-debatable as it is just that -- a warning.

2. Baning and inviting.

The Admins have the right to invite any player they choose so long as the player meets up with our high standards. Banning, however is a different issue and a last course of action. This is usually reserved for problematic people and each case will be revied by the admin who is to issue the ban, and 21st Cherry Boy (or myself, should he not be available).

Banning can be debated with the higher-ups (again, 21st Cherry Boy or myself) if you feel you were banned unfairly, but once we review the case and decide the ruling stands We don't wanna hear it.

3. Post Manipulation:

This comes after two warnings in which the mod has asked *politely and professionaly* that a certain form of action be changed, i.e. constant swearing or chatspeak. In other words,

Act like a fool, look like a fool.

4. Post/ Thread Delition

After the third wanring, a player post and or thread can and will be deleted by the mod.

Posting

Since the introduction of the Guild Subforums, the posting 'order' has been changed slughtly. We had been anticipating the subforums for quite some time now, and now that we have them the posting order has been changed. This post will be used to help uers figure out how to post new SL's, and how to change between threads.

New Story Lines
Firstly, I want to get the 'how to' out of the way for new story lines, or new plays. As you can see, subforums cost a little gold to make. It is taken from the guild account, so therefore the only users allowed to make new story lines are those who have donated over 2,500 gold. There's no telling what the gold will be used for in the future, so I don't want to carelessly throw it away. Well, in other words, if you want to make a new storyline, you best plan on donating 2,500 gold to the guild.

From that point, you must send in a request to 21st Cherry Boy, as currently AnqeIicDemise is currently unavailable. See the Request Forum below.

Request Forum
Storyline/Role Play Name:
Description:
Why: (Why you would like to open this storyline.)

You will notice the question 'why' in there. This is to make sure that we - and you - do not spend gold needlessly. You must give a good reason why you want to open the storyline, or else you are likely to be declined. We do not want to end up with needless subforums, you know?

This concludes the 'how to' on posting new storylines. This guide may be revamped later on, so keep an eye out please.

Thread Hopping
Secondly, we come to the thread hopping guide. This should be something that does not require a guide, but for organizational purposes, I thought it would be safe to add a guide in case a few users got confused.

When we say 'thread hopping' we mean changing threads in which you post in. Currently, the only play that has multiple threads would be DnK (Daito-shi no Kiraboshi.) On one hand, you have the Core of the city, and on the other you have the local internet cafe Wired.

Switching between threads is simple enough. In OOC let the other players know where you're going so that they are able to keep up if they so wish. In the future, these plays will have more than one thread for them, and if you do not wish to take a stroll through the city you are more than welcome to simply skip between threads.
