So, I volunteer very often at the Michigan Right to Life HeadQuarters located in my hometown. Due to the elections I've been doing a lot more than mailing letters to donators, but I've been making hundreds of phone calls about the endorsed candidates. And the whole place has been angry because none of the candidates are pro-life to a point where they can be endorsed.

Thoughts?

Well... I like Obama... but honestly... he's not pro-life which is unfortunate... I'm really glad I can't vote this year (age restriction)

My thoughts are that both of the main party candidates suck. Obama is charismatic, and honestly I want to like him, but he's extremely liberal, and he -has- shown that he's a politician; Saying what people want to hear in order to get elected. McCain, I somewhat support as far as his political stance goes, but let's be honest, he's not going to be elected. No one likes him. He's old. He's never even touched a computer. How can we expect him to be in touch with the current generation, and the current computer-driven world?

(Also, this should probably be in the Election subforum. Since no one really goes in there, I'd say it should at least be in the General Discussion subforum.)

From a pro-life standpoint, I absolutely cannot back Obama. When you're more pro-abortion than NARAL, I worry. That is one thing he won't be able to live down, which won't matter for a lot of pro-choice people and pro-life people who are willing to let it slide because they agree with him on a lot of other things, but I honestly can't find enough to agree with him on to justify voting for him.

If it's the lesser of two evils abortion-wise, McCain. A lot will depend on his running mate, too. He's got a chance of being elected, but if he picks a pro-choice VP, I'm pretty sure he's dust. I haven't seen conservative voters this reluctant to vote in a long time. Even Dole motivated them more than McCain does.

I'm not voting for either really.

Actually I've heard that in some polls he's in the lead and in some he's in a dead heat. But who knows who's going to win. Only time will tell.

Anyway how do you know he hasn't touched a computer?
