and I am a bit lost. Mainly because I'm recovering from writing a novel that has consumed my soul entirely for the past 2 years. Anyway, my ideas for my steampunk epic don't have quite the depth and soul-sucking qualities of my past adventures, but it's fun and I need something to write tht doesn't have anything to do with Nazis so I'm writing it.

I have a great concept, over 9000 awesome characters (look in my journal!), the beginning of a plot, and a nice intro written (read it here!) but there are a few things I can't quiiite seem to make come together.

I think it would make for an excellent manga series, except for I can't draw to save my life. so I can settle for it being like a book series possibly. should I go for that thing.

Anyway, it's probably more fantasy than straight up steampunk, but I definitely want it to have a steampunk edge, so it has airship fleets, air pirates, submarine vikings, azn criminal organizations, magical cabaret performers, explosives experts, neo-tanscendentialist naturalists, nuns, underground cities, professors with black cats, oracles who can only live in complete darkness, carrier pigeons, and personal flight suits. Yeah, I need to get tht all organized and streamlined into a story.

Basically, it's centered around these kinds of people called "magics" who they call that for lack of a better word describing what they can do. Magics are largely feared because of "dark magics" who are, well, evil people who use their abilities to destroy things. The main charcter is a girl named Emyli who has grown up among "The Sisters" who are basically nuns, and they fear magics and regard them as people of "the demons." of course, Emyli is a magic, but she's been able to hide it (she thinks at first it's because she's no good but it's really becasue she's very good). And... yeah, I have a beginning planned out but it's kind of hard to describe, and I probably should just write it.

anyway, tl;dr, would anybody care to read my crap and help me formulate it into the epic epic that it is destined to become?

Go for it. I wrote a steampunk D&D fantasy for my NaNoWriMo novel last year (50k words in 30 days). Setting it in a fantasy world frees you up of history constraints. Plus it allows for a few more demi-human races. Tinker gnomes, dwarf vikings, elf environmentalists trying to stop the factories and railroads...

My one suggestion for the story would be that instead of calling the characters "magics", have them referred to as "magi". It sounds hella cool in my humble opinion.
