The moon had just broken the horizon, but darkness still shrouded the the desolate land. Wind blew sand from is rest and across the hills of rock that stretched almost as far as one could see. There seemed to be no life about. Perhaps the darkness had warded off the sensible creatures that had roamed the deserts. Perhaps the wind had proved to be too much of a threat to the few that lived out here.
Or perhaps the small creatures were sensible enough to stay out of the wake of the new beings that had appeared on the horizon moonshine glowing on their backs.
"Sad." A feminine voice broke the deafening silence. The sound of chains clinking together as they blew in the light wind echoed from behind her voice. "This place is a lot more... dead, then I remember." Silver locks flicked out from behind her and crimson gold eyes scanned over the rolling hills of sand. "Can't I say I'm suprised, though. It was never terribly exciting." Her tongue ran over her fangs and she gave a light smirk, tilting her head to give a backwards glance at her two companions. "Hm?"
"Yeah, well." Another one of the figure spoke, his voice cold as his paws pressed against the sand that dislodged beneath him, quivering a bit. "I was never really one for the... desert. Sand is too hard too control. Too..." His voice trailed off as he searched for the right word. His eyes scanned over where plumes of sand were thrown into the air by large gusts of wind. "wild."
"And you've always been one for the incredibly dull, hm?" The first spoke again, her smirk widening into a grin.
"Oh shut up, will you?" The second narrowed his eyes, his tail lashing out behind him. before he gave a sigh and shook his head. "I don't know. It seemed like it was more entertaining when it wasn't just the three of us. Last time-"
"Quiet, both of you." The last spoke finally. He was larger than the other two, his body sculpted with thick muscle, green glowing markings pulsating in the darkness. "We didn't come here to argue. You can do that... somewhere else."
"Then you should have thought before bringing both of us." The female gave a passive shrug.
"Just... Concentrate."
