The guild is great and all but..........it seems kind of dead. Okay, waaaay dead. I'd like to stay in the guild though cuz I at least like to read and comment on others' works even though I don't get comments myself.

Yeah, that's always been the problem. That's basically why I created this thread. To get suggestions to fix the inactivity problem.

I say once a week, if anything is new in the guild, go arround pming everyone.
it will either get everyone really annoyed forcing them to leave the guild, or get people to start getting involved ^^

I found this guild okay but it's not as lively as the other guilds lol I suggest that we can make up some contest to cheer the ppl up xd

Yeah, the only problem with that is that we can't seem to get enough participation for a contest either. Maybe we can get something together, though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Clean up the announcements and stickies.
Cleaning up the clutter on the front page gives your guild members less to read.
I do not want to read through announcement, through announcement then the stickies.
I suggest the following for this guild.
An ultimate announcement.
-Introduction.
-Rules.
-Directory.
-Who and what the moderators are/mod.
-Guild Calender.
-Affiliations.
Then for your stickies make an update,announcements and news one.
Stick past captains sticky there.
It basically gives the members a lot less to go through, plus, it's a whole less intimidating to read through.
When I came in here I was like; "crap, this is a lot to go through."
I want to make sure I know the guild I am joining, so I won't make a fool out of myself, so I personally feel this is needed.
I run two guilds and this layout right now is in one of my guilds and it works well.
For the misc. or the news I feel is important but not enough for a announcement I just make a thread for.

I suggest that you snd the crew should PM your members that have been doing good or bad. Motivate the people doing bad, and congradulate the people doing good.
Kinda like MR. L33T's idea.

we could get a cool banner like have a banner contest or something.......just a thought.....(banners like the one you have in your signature)

A good banner would be a a nice start. The biggest problem I can see is that there aren't a lot of things that stay active.
Maybe we could do a weekly/monthly writing thing, like set up a few things that need to be worked into a story and have people post their stories here.
We could also add a 'set this scene' thread, with a new image posted weekly/monthly on a different date.
Other possible threads:
* what if
* character history
* write your (fictional) town
* create a villain
* ...
* ...
