Kyou secretly agreed with her. He never threw pictures out if he could help it. Nor would he ever delete photos for a digital camera. Raving had once told him that she never deleted pictures because that same picture can never be taken exactly the same way ever again. After she explained it like that he could never delete a photo again, not matter how badly taken the picture was. "That would be really cool. A school scrapbook eh? I'd like to see that." he said sincerely.

Kyou nodded. "I do like rock music though. I should give you some of my CDs though. You should give indie music a try. It's quite good. Really?" Kyou asked. He was very, very slow on the uptake but more importantly when it came to Minagi he simply didn't want to get his hopes up. If he was just presuming things it could lead to a very awkward situation. "Well maybe...I could come over and watch them sometime then?" he said, taking the bait wonderfully. Kyou smiled. "I don't really like sweet things I must say so I tend to just have black coffee." he said smiling. How predicable, how boring.

As Minagi got up Kyou turned around, about to get up himself. When he had asked her what she was drinking Kyou was going to go up and get it for her, to be nice and to be gentlemanly. But she beat him to the punch and now all he could do was to watch her walk over to the counter, her hips moving from side to side in a hypnotic. Kyou tried not to stare, really hard, but it didn't work. He was so glad she was walking away so she couldn't see him watching.

Minagi strode back smiling at Kyou, a almost evil smile with her Mocha in hand. The boy behind the counter leaned over it a bit to watch Minagi. Sad really. Minagi as a demon did have a few nasty tricks of her sleeve and planned on using every single one of them to snag Kyou for herself. No matter what it took, she wanted Kyou, and she wanted him back. All the way back from when they had been kids she'd wanted him, but it wasn't until recent years that she had really noticed it and here she had her chance to grab him.

She sidled herself back into her seat, crossing her legs and got back to the conversation as if nothing had happened, sipping her Mocha. "Yeah, once I get it started and everything you can come over and look through it. I know Mom will end up putting it in the family china cabinet for a while." she said with a shrug. Oh she could feel it, her plan was working, and she was working it.

"I'd love that! I'm always looking for something new though, music is my main inspiration for my artwork." she said setting down her mocha and picking up her empty sketchbook fondly. She gave him a sideways glance grinning. "If you want I'm free tonight, you could come over and we can pick something out. I don't think anyone is really gonna be home though. Mom and Youko are out on some kinda business and everyone else is out places." She said giving her hand a gestured wave. It was true though, she was basically gonna be home alone. Perfect timing, strangely, maybe Youko had planned this. He had a habit of dong things that benefited someone in the house. Maybe it was her turn?

Kyou watched Minagi walk back, a little less obviously then when she had been walking to get the mocha. He didn't want to be too obvious. He saw the boy behind the counter watching her and he gave him the glare of pure death. He wasn't letting some coffee boy oogle Minagi. Which was sort of hypocritical. Kyou knew that but didn't care. He didn't want anyone else to look at Minagi, even if they had as much right to do so as he did.

He went back to the conversation as though Minagi had never left, though it was hard to get rid of the slight red on his face from watching the girl. "That would be really nice. I doubt I'll know most of your friends though. After all we kind of run with different crowds now don't we? It's kind of a shame isn't it?" he said, more to himself then Minagi.

Kyou watched her carefully. He could swear the girl was flirting with him and it was driving him mad. He wanted to do so many things to that girl but he had to stop himself and keep himself calm. He couldn't give away his secret. She would have to be repulsed by him if that were to happen. "I'll make you a mix tape then will I? Of some of my favorite music?" he asked her. They were always really good ways of telling people how they feel without actually telling them. Kyou swallowed hard. Over at Minagis place, alone, unsupervised. He wasn't sure if he could take it. But he didn't want to decline the offer either. So he would have to restrain himself to the best of his ability. Martial arts training will come in very handy. "Urm that sounds good to me. If you don't mind me coming over that is..." he added. Even though she invited him he was still afraid he was getting the message wrong. Any more excitment though and Kyou was pretty sure he was going to transform. He calmed himself down to the best of his abilities.

Minagi nodded, "It is a shame, otherwise we'd get to hang out more at school. But we're both usually pretty busy at school now aren't we." she said with a slight sigh. They might have had a friend or two in common but if they did she didn't know it, she wish she knew though. She was surely sinking him into her trap. He was nearly in her grasp, she knew it!

Minagi continued to be relaxed as though nothing were out of the ordinary, just asking a friend to come hang out and watch a movie. Nothing special, as far as she was letting off. "Sounds great to me!" she said, she couldn't wait for the CD, she could only imagine the paintings and drawings she would get from the new music. And of course many would probably in some inadvertent way relate to Kyou.

Minagi shook her head, again waving her hand. "It's perfectly fine, I don't like being in the house alone that much anyways. I'm so used to it being full of people that when no one is home it's kinda creepy." she said nodding, this was the truth though, she hated being home alone, it made the house feel like a grave when there weren't twenty people bustling around the house constantly, yelling and talking , fighting over the phone, kids playing or beating each other up. That's what she's grown up with and that's what she was used to. Quiet was just strange to her, foreign and creepy. She heard the hesitation, worried a little but didn't let it show.

The rain seemed to be letting up, best if they took a chance for it in case it decided to rain again. "We might wanna go when the rain breaks which should be really soon. Don't wanna get caught in it again." she said. Her heart was pounding, and the only thing her mind kept telling her was 'Hook. Line. And Sinker!'

Kyou though. "Well I'm sure we can't be all that busy. I'm sure we'll be able to meet up from time to time if we really try." he said thinking. It was such a shame that they didn't see each other more often. Infact it was almost stupid really in Kyou's opinion. Kyou was falling right for Minagis trap and loving every minute of it.

Kyou then gave her a lopsided smiled. "Okay then. I'll be able to give it to you tomorrow I guess? I'll need to think of the perfect songs now." This was Kyou's own little move. After going to see movies in her place they may not have a reason to see each other again. But now he would have to go and give her the CD. He had a perfectly legitimate reason to and see her tomorrow then. It was a pretty smooth move, really.

Kyou smiled, slightly nervous. He defiantly didn't want to say no now, not that he ever really wanted to in the first place. After all who could resist a girl like her? It would simply be stupid really. But now he had a good reason to go over. He couldn't leave Minagi alone in her house all by herself. It would be mean and ungentlemanly. After all what if someone were to break in? Who would protect the poor girl? "Okay then that sounds good enough to me."

Kyou gave her a nod. "That sounds like a plan. I hate the rain and I really really hate getting wet." The boy had finally started to dry off in the cafe and the last thing he wanted to do was to get wet again. Plus he really wanted to go over to Minagis now, so an excuse to go sooner rather then later was perfect in his opinion.

Minagi nodded agreeing completely. It was if they had almost been avoiding each other still. They had plenty of time to actually at least walk up and say hi to one another but had never actually done so. "Yeah, we'll have to have lunch together one of these days" she said smiling. She'd make enough for the two of them, a special little lunch.

"Tomorrow is fine with me" she said "Take you time though" she winked at him, she was letting it out a little now what she was up to, but if he hadn't caught on at all then something was wrong. But he had to, just as she had caught onto him. She wouldn't be able to wait for the next day after he would part from the house and that CD would probably be the only thing she listened to for about a month.

"Alright, then." she said looking out the large windows of the coffee shop. The rain was still continuing to lighten to a drizzle. "Same here, it drives me insane. I may be a water element when it comes to my horoscope, but I don't care, I'm more a fire element than anything." she said flicking her finger where a single flame then stood flickering about. She whisked it away with another flick of her hand. She had always been good with fire, when she had been younger she had used to accidentally set many thing aflame. Youko had helped her learn to control her ability and it no longer caused her problems whatsoever. She stood up, grabbing her bag which had remained completely forgotten and hidden the entire time she'd been in the shop and stuffed her sketchbook, pencil and wallet inside. She slung the little messenger bag over her shoulder and smiled at Kyou. "Come on, it's a bit of a walk to my place." she said, she didn't drive, at least yet. But the walk wasn't too bad, just a 2 mile stretch. Of course that was just to the small dirt road that led to the house, that was another half a mile.

Spica liked the house to be put back and out of view. The entire premises of the Hatashi residence was surrounded by dense woods.

Kyou gave her a definite nod. He was going to keep this little promise all his attention. The two had already grown too far apart for his liking and that had to change. "Yeah we should eat lunch together one of these days. That would be very nice." Kyou said crossing his arms with a resolve within himself.

Kyou gave her a small smile. Perfect. "Don't worry I already have some stuff in mind so it shouldn't take me all that long. Plus I have a lot of music so I can always make more if you like that one." Kyou said, happy that his own little plan was falling into place. Minagi was being so obvious at this point that even the pretty dense Kyou was starting to get the picture, though he wasn't sure if it was just himself hoping that she was doing what she was doing.

Kyou watched with a sort of awe when she created the flame. He had never seen anyone do that before but he thought it was simply amazing. He couldn't do anything like that. All he did was turn into a stupid orange cat which wasn't half as cool or useful in the long run. "Wow that's really cool Minagi. I never knew you could do that." he said truthfully.

Kyou let Minagi walk infront of him on the way out of the cafe for three very good reasons. One it was the courteous thing to do. Two he would be able to watch those hips. Three he could give the coffee shop boy another death glare on the way out without Minagi seeing. So Kyou let her walk first with an embarrassed "After you." Envious eyes were on them from all sides. Girls glared at Minagi for having Kyou following her, boys glared at Kyou for being able to watch those hips. The attention of the cafe was basically on them and Kyou wasn't to sure what he thought of it. "Don't worry I quite like walking." he said quietly as they walked out of the cafe, Kyou making sure to go through his death glare plan with the coffee boy, who looked at Kyou jealously.

Minagi looked about at the sky with a slight cringe. It was still pretty dark and cloudy, looking as if it could rain again quite easily. They'd have to hustle it a bit to make sure it didn't rain on them. Kyou had finally stopped dripping, not that she'd been really complaining when he was wet. "How about next Monday then, if you're free that is. I'll make lunch for us." she asked looking back at Kyou and noticed his glare to the coffee boy, she pretended not to see this though.

"Awesome, the more the better." she said wondering about the music, she wasn't worried about it in fact she was excited. But still the prospect of something she'd never heard before got her imagination on the go. Her tail swung with her steps the spaded end giving off the flicker of a cat tail. She let it droop instead of holding it high, she knew this usually ended in poking somebody in the head, never a good thing in her opinion.

Minagi again recreated the flame a larger one this time consuming her left hand. "It's been a slight talent of mine as long as I can remember. Comes in handy sometime, but it used to be a real bother." she said shaking away the flames. "Thanks to Youko though I can now create different kinds of flames." she said igniting a brilliant blue flame on the tips of her fingers, another flick and she held flames that seemed to be made of darkness. She shook this one away as well. "Youko is part Phoenix, so he's been teaching me all kinds of things." she said shrugging. She liked Youko, he had really taken on the fathering role in the household and it had done nearly everyone a lot of good.

The walk took them down another street full of little shops that sold groceries, art supplies, a little specialty store for exotic foods and a few other sparse places, all of which Minagi had visited at one point. People walked passed some looking back to retake in the scene, some just looking in confusion. An odd pair Minagi and Kyou may have made but as far as Minagi was concerned it was the perfect mix.

Kyou nodded enthusiastically. He really liked the idea of eating lunch together. It really shouldn't have ended up this way in the first place. They should have been friends from the moment they got into high school. "That sounds really great Minagi. I look forward to it!" he said with a shy smile. He wasn't used to letting his feelings show.

Kyou smiled. "I hope you agree with my taste of music though. I have some odd enough tracks." he said with a grin. He descided to walk in step with her rather then behind her, walking on the outside incase anyone were to knock into the girl. It was something Raving has once told him to do, it showed the girl that you cared. He almost wished he could walk behind her again though. He knew he really shouldn't be thinking like that but Minagi made him feel oddly lustful, which worried him slightly. He didn't know if he would transform because of it.

Kyou grinned and continued to watch as she created the flames. "Ha I can imagine it would have been a problem until you were able to control it. Unfortinatly I don't have such interesting talents if the truth were to be told. I'm just plain old boring me." Kyou said smiling slightly. He couldn't tell he the truth, that his little talent was anything but boring.

Kyou walked along proudly beside Minagi, giving a group of girls who looked at the oddly a glare or two as they walked. His usual grogginess from the rain was gone, but he doubted it had anything to do with the rain.

Minagi grinned over at Kyou. "It'll be fun, besides, Mom has been showing me these really neat recipes that I wanna try out on my own. Add a few little twists to it. I'm not as good as her and Melody, but I do what I can." she said laughing thinking of her older brother. "At least I'm not like Kisho, he can't cook to save his life." she said shaking her head.

Minagi gave Kyou a look that she hoped he'd translate as 'I'll listen to anything you give me.' "Come on Kyou, it's me, I listen to anything and everything I can get my hands onto." she said. There wasn't too much she didn't listen to but she did have her preferences. She noticed his switch to walking by her side. She bit her lip a little to where Kyou couldn't see and peaked at him a little through her bangs.

Minagi gave a face and tilted her head at Kyou. "Oh now that's a lie Kyou and you know that!" she said glaring at him. Everyone had something that made them really special! "You've got something inside of you that really sets you apart from everyone. You know it's there, you just may not like it. Some people hate what sets them apart from others. I did, and sometimes I still do." she said with a shrug. She hated being a demon sometimes, especially her horns. They had become a real problem when they had grown to a larger size and had become pointed and sharp.

"But yeah, the flame were a real pain in the a**." she said hanging her head. "Lit the curtains on fire I don't know how many times, the couch, my bed... about anything I could get my hands on" she said with a large sigh. At least now it was under control, no more explosive fires randomly about the house.

Minagi watched the girls go by and scowl and then scuttle off. She couldn't understand exactly why, were they looking at her? She hadn't thought they had been. But she shrugged it off, if they had a problem they could bring it to her instead of acting like a bunch of scaredy cats. The sky was still dark and gloomy, threatening to rain again. "We're nearly there. See that off road over there?" she said pointing to a road slightly hidden by a small grove of trees. "Our place is a little ways down the road. Only house there actually." she said shrugging. She enjoyed the solitary nature of where she lived. Crowded neighborhoods never really appealed to her.

Kyou grinned. "I'd like to try your cooking. The last time I did was quite a long time about now." He said, almost thoughtfully. "I can't cook very well either. I wish I could. Maybe you could teach me some time?" he asked her. He was quite glad he thought of this. It was even more time to spend with Minagi.

Kyou nodded, smiling slightly. "Okay then. I'll make sure to pick alot of good songs for you then. Some of my favorites." he said with a nod. Mixtapes were good to help give people a hint of what they were feeling too, perfect for someone in Kyous position.

Kyou watched Minagi, even so slightly confused at her sudden outburst. He had almost forgotten how she would get about certain things. Kyou smiled softly. "Yeah I guess there is something..." he said, his mind wandering. He knew it wasn't some thing good but he knew there was nothing he could do about it. He wondered how he was going to tell her. He doubted he would tell her but rather she would find out. He couldn't see what Minagi could hate about herself though. To him she was perfect.

Kyou almost burst out laughing when he heard her telling him of the fire escapades. He could imagine it all happening. "Well I guess it's good that you have it all under control then isn't it? Plus it's a very cool talent." Kyou said with a grin.

Kyou squinted into the distance. "Hum you don't live all that far away from the town then do you? But it's far enough away from the town tht you have some of the country too. That's really cool!" he said smiling. Next thing the sky let its burden loose, water falling to the ground drenching the two instantly. Kyous ears instantly went down to stop rain getting into them, his shirt, which was finall dry again becomign soaked. "Should we run?" he asked her, having to yell over the pounding sound of the rain.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 27, 2008 8:56 pm

Minagi grinned. "Sure why not, I'm still learning a lot from my Mom so whenever you want to just come on over. I'm not too great with sweet things, but I'm just starting to learn." she said with a shrug. She wanted to make the melon buns so badly, but so far the buns were giving her a bit of a problem. A little practice was always good though.

Minagi grinned, new music was one of her favorite things, always new inspiration. And if the music was from Kyou, it was bound to be heavenly; at least to her. "Sounds great! We've got a fair collection at the house, especially since Youko's been living with us. He had so much music from around the world, it's insane!" she said, she'd listened to some of it, and she'd grown a liking to the instrumentals from Japan.

"See!" she said eye lighting up. "I mean, like I said everyone has something special about them; albeit, Shizuma's is a little strange but whatever." she said with a giggle. She loved her brother but often teased him for his ability to make amazing costumes.

"Oh yeah, comes in real handy sometimes. Great when you go camping, never need matches or a lighter." she said with a laugh. These days it was a little hard to go camping with so many people around.

Minagi let a wail as the rain came down of them. "RUN!" she yelled over the heavy drops of rain that pelted them. Her hand brushed Kyou's for a moment as she took off down the side road, there were trees but not enough to slow the fall of the heavy rain that much. Why did this damned road have to be so long? The house finally came into view and she whined in longing just be under the cover of the front landing. "Come on we're almost there!"

The house was three stories tall and looked a little more like a mansion rather than a house. Spica had originally started out in an apartment, but as she had continued to bring kids in off the street she had to move to a larger premises and this one had certainly appealed to her.

Minagi fumbled with her keys, her short hair was plastered to her face, the little bit of make-up she wore was streaked down her cheeks and her clothes clung to her body even worse than when they were dry. She swung open the two front door and walked inside dripping as if she'd just come out of being pushed into a pool. "I HATE the rain!" she yelled through the empty house. A few of the random pets around the house peaked their head around corners and then went back to their business. Minagi then looked back at Kyou sadly. "Talk about back luck!" she said pushing her bang out of her face.

The rain soaked Kyou from head to toe. He had just dried off aswell. His orange hair clung to his head and his ears went back in an attempt to stop water getting in them. His tail flicked from side to side, more then slightly annoyed at this change to the weather. It was autumn dammit. Rainstorms wern't supposed to be common around this time!

As Minagis hand brushed his he blushed bright red. Luckly he was running behind the girl, to be a gentleman of course. It had nothing to do with the hips or how he liked to watch them in the least perverted way possible. He was glad that he was now. She wouldn't see the colour rising to his cheeks as it happened.

For any other person he would have had to slow down to make sure that they could keep up with him but it was obvious that Minagi had been working out. He caught up to her with ease but he didn't have to try and stop himself overtaking her. He liked this. It meant less thinking on his part.

As she fumbled with her keys Kyou watched her with interest. The rain made it even harder to control himself. Now that her clothes clung to her body. It wasn't like her clothes wern't already revealing enough to drive him insane. He stopped himself oggling her by staring at his shoes, rain water forming puddles.

As he walked inside he prevented himself from shaking his hair like a dog. His hair dripped onto the floor, forming puddles on the dry floor. "Tell me about it" he said, laughing gruffly. After all all you could do is laugh at this point. He grabbed a part of his t-shirt, ringing it so water dripped from it. He was soaked to the bone and he wasn't happy about it. "We were so close to the house aswell!" He looked around the house, if only to stop himself watching her.

Minagi sighed and braced herself and shook her head in the attempt to get as much of the water out as possible. When she finished she held out her hands to keep herself steady and wiped the make-up from her cheeks. "I'll get us some towels." she said trudging off to the hall closet. There she peeked inside and grabbed two of the fluffier towels and came back throwing one to Kyou. "Catch!" she yelled before taking the towel to her still wet hair.

"Good thing I just did my laundry." Minagi said looking up the stairs. "come on up, don't worry too much about the water, we'll have the rest of the animal horde tramping through here soon enough soaking wet. I think Youko has some sort of spells to keep this place from getting as dirty as you would think a house would be with seventeen kids." she said addling up the stair. Her room was down one hall and then halfway down another, but her door was cracked open and she only knew all too well why. She sighed and pushed the door fully open, sure enough to see a long eared black creature curled up on her pillow with purple-blue fairy wings. "Ztarlight, out for a little bit." she said hiking her thumb to the door.

The strange creature lifted his head and stared at Minagi. He looked behind her grunted and scooted off mumbling under his breath.

Minagi shook her head at the Kanasune. "That's Ztar, he's really sweet and all but still a pain in the butt sometimes." she said quickly pushing back her hair and pulling open her dresser. Out she pulled basket ball shorts and a large t-shirt with large white words reading "F-U" on it. She held it up t Kyou. "This okay with you?" she asked holding it out to him with a cheesy grin. "Most of my clothing is like the really." she said and she was telling the truth, her current outfit was more of a 'going out' sort of thing, but she got her days when she felt like dressing like a girl rather than a butch.

"The bathroom is just three door to the left of here." she said and turned holding up a finger. "If it's a mess you can blame the guys, it's their turn to clean the damn thing." she said shaking her head. Normally it was fight over who cleaned the bathroom, the boys would claim the girls should do it because they 'did a better job', but Spica had put her foot down that they would take turns and now there was a schedule on who cleaned the bathroom. The boys main problem of course with any other guys was the 'feminine products' that were always in the garbage can and they would freak and claim a girl needed to do the trash, but they were still forced to do it no matter how much they hated it, because it really was only fair.

"I'll be down in a few minutes!" she called to Kyou closing her door behind her.
