A friend and I are writing a play/screenplay and we need some help writing it, and we need a lot of technical advice. Is anyone out there willing to help?

sure I'll help. A friend of mine wrote/produced two shows at my school and I helped him with both. Because I was mostly involved in the later parts of the show I was able to find all the loopholes. The only problem is I was too observant and add that to the stress of running a show by yourself and it led to problems of the "I don't want to know anymore" scale.

I've written several plays, but I wouldn't try putting any of them on by myself. First of all, they're short one acts. Second, maybe only one of them is very good and worthy of doing. I'm sending it to a one act play festival and hopefully it'll be produced in it. I doubt it'll win, because it's too damned depressing. But a friend of mine really likes it and wants to direct it in New York some day.
I'll also try to help you write the play if you're interested. What's the plot of it anyway?

I'd be happy to help too! I've done some playwrighting, acting, behind the scenes (lights, sound, that sort of thing) and a little directing. Some of the things that would help us here are:
What is the play about?
How far have you gotten in writing it?
Where do you want to perform it?
Do you have people in mind to be a cast or will you have auditions?
Are you going to do it as a movie or a play?
What time period is it in?
What kind of effects do you want?
If you answer these, I personally will be able to get a better idea of how I can help, because I really would love to!

I'm a costume junkie, so I could probably help you with that, I've also written a few worthy one-acts, as well as acted in a play written by someone I know. Sets aren't my forte, but I know a few things about set design that may be helpful.
Pretty much if you tell me the setting and the character descriptions and sort of what you want the costumes to look like (if you have an idea about that thus far) I can produce you some concept drawings.
