 Taiyou laid under a tree, shaded by the lush green canopy above her. All was calm, and the weather was nice. There was a gentle wind that blew her hair slightly. Her scales sparkled in the sun that drifted through the canopy and onto her. If anyone were to catch a glimpse, no doubt it'd be dazzling. Her eyes were closed as she relaxed, still listening in case of danger. Days like these were normal for her, for Taiyou was a very peaceful and calm Ki'rin. Whether it be a hyperactive, spazzy kit or an angry God/dess, Tai stays calm no matter what the situation is. Her tail was wrapped around her with her head resting on her paws. It couldn't possibly get better than this... Could it....?

Ryn blew a bit of hair out of his face. These bangs were so annoying, he'd rip and bite at them, they would be short for a while, then grow right back again. He had just given up for now. A nice breeze was moving along today. Ahead, Ryn felt a large tree with a canopy on a hill. He raised his wings and took to the skies, praying he didn't run into a bird or another tree. He alighted almost noislessly near the top of the tree, and at the base, a heartbeat.
He pricked his ears, someone was down there. A someone with a very large horn and tail. He felt a ringing in his head, something down there on that someone was throwing off the vibrations. He realized they were scales. A Ki'rin. He bared his teeth slightly. From what he knew, Ki'rin were terribly vain creatures who liked nothing better than to look nice and scorn others who weren't. He sighed, no doubt the creature had heard him already, no use flying away now. Maybe if he stayed very still and used his branches to hide himself, he'd blend in.

Taiyou, eyes still closed, swiveled one ear to pinpoint something. She could've sworn she heard something... or maybe someone... But now, it was too quiet. Regardless, this did not phase her, she was more relaxed than before. She tossed her head to the side gently, moving the hair out of her face. Relying on her nose and ears rather than her eyes, Tai examined the creature above. She smelled it, and knew the scent. Definitely the scent of a male. She heard wings ruffle as well. She guessed he was a Ucolian, but didn't know why he was here. Why was he here?
Taiyou wasn't going to make, force, harass, or threaten him to come down. If he wanted to stay up there, she was fine with that. But something in her wanted him to come down. She kept her eyes closed but sat up, still listening. Maybe she could get him down simply by asking, not that she'd take that chance at upsetting her relaxed state...

Ryn knew he had been spotted as he heard the faintest rustle of fur, as the Ki'rin swiveled one ear. The 'glare' of her scales on his vibrations was driving him crazy. He slammed his ears back as she tossed her head, sending squealing droves of vibrations at him from the movement of her scales. He growled, and said roughly, "Ki'rin, your scales will be the death of me." He was grumpy and moody now. Perhapes she would leave. Knowing the race of Ki'rin's however, he was stuck.
He jumped out of the tree and hovered above the ground. The vibrations from her scales were much subdued now that there was nothing connecting him to the same earth she was on.

Tai picked up on Ryn's gruff tone. She moved into a shady spot and murmured, knowing he could hear her, "Better?" She smiled, though he couldn't see it. She was being very sincere to the Ucolian and hoped he'd come out of hiding. It did no good to always hide in the shadows. There were so many great things you'd miss while lurking in sullen darkness. She knew about the wonders of being calm and peaceful, but most of all positive. Just from his voice, she could tell he wasn't the happiest fellow around, to say the least.
Taiyou tossed her head again, once more moving hair out of her face. She gently brushed a paw against her smooth scales feeling their texture all the whilst pondering what could have made this Ulaya so angry. Surely, it wasn't her... Was it?

Ryn felt confusion come off the Kir'in in waves. Of course she didn't understand that her scales were hurting him mentally. He sighed softly once, and said, "Its better in the shade, yes. Though it's also better when you don't move a whole lot." He raised an eyebrow. He wasn't sure if she would be able to comply with the last part of his request. First of all she was a Kir'in, and second of all she was a female. Not that he was making generalizations, it was just that was what he had encountered in the past.

Tai was about to nod her head but stopped before she moved, speaking, "My apologies. I shall do my best to not move, if that is more comfortable for you." She wondered why her movements affected him. Was it because of her scales? Probably. The wind rustled Taiyou's fur softly. Did that count as movement? Oh well, it wasn't her fault, after all. So what was his name, anyways? And why was he here? Did it have something to do with... her? How could it, Tai couldn't recognize Ryn's scent...
