Turns out I hadn't collected comics in a couple of months (and live in the UK, so I'm behind anyway...) But I picked up a copy of BPRD: The Ectoplasmic Man (a one-off issue) today.
It's good! It's the origin story for Johann Kraus, and rounds him out wonderfully - he'd come off as a bit of a jerk after he got that body, so it's good to see something that paints him in a better light again. Especially as he's my favorite character...
Anyone else read it?

Although I'm over in the US, I haven't grabbed this one yet. I order mine over the internet (You have no idea how ridiculous it is being the only female going into a comic book shop) because it's easier, but I usually wait for the TPB/Collections to come out before I get it.
And I definitely agree that Johann came off as a jerk when he had a body. It was kind of scary for me because I really like that character too. Although, I'm not sure If I can blame him... who wouldn't do what he did? He's been without his senses for so long. At least he got laid before his body died.

O.o Well with his job he probably would be linguistically cultured like that.
I just couldn't help but laugh when I saw Krauss movie-verse. He looked more like a spaceman! XD

He made me think of the character Skool from the book un-lun-dun, which is about an alternate version of London where all the broken and useless things go (such as broken umbrellas). Skool looks like a diving suit from the '30s, and at the end of the book you find out he's controlled by a school of fish. Like how Johann is articulated by ectoplasm.
