Chip was sitting underneath his favorite tree, enjoying the sweet summer breeze and the bountiful sun. Unlike other children, he preferred to be indoors most of the time, nose buried in a book. Unless, that is, an adventure came up.
As fate would have it, someone had handed him a treasure map they'd found outside, thinking it to be his. " I bet it leads to a Secret Island, with all kinds of treasure and pirates! " He squeeled, tail swaying this way and that as he practically vibrated in his seat. " But...how do you read this? "
Most of the map made no sense to him and what did, he had no clue where to find it. It was at times like this that he wished he had friends; friends who could read maps.

Hidaka was taking a walk outside, as per her routine each day, when she spotted a male cat she'd never seen before. He was looking at a piece of paper and talking to himself. Being the curious fox she was, she decided to go find out who he was and see what was on the paper he was holding. Hidaka walked up and stood next to him. "Hi," she said. "Watchya got there?"

Chip jumped a little bit, surprised that anyone else was even out here. He looked at the fox girl and came to one conclusion really fast. She's taller than me. Most times this kind of thing wouldn't bother him but then again, that was with boys. He wanted to ask her why she was that way but she'd asked if he needed help and that came first. " Hello. " Chip smiled, holding his treasure map out to her for inspection. " Its a treasure map I found. Pretty cool, huh? "
