Storyline:
It has been about 70 years since the Kira Incident was brought to its finale. However, this was nothing in comparison to what was to come. A new Shinigami has made off with seven Death Notes and scattered them across 7 different countries: United States, Japan, China, Germany, Iraq, Greece and Russia. For each person who finds the Death Note, they must make a life-altering decision: To use it, or to not use it. For each person, they have thier own reasons for thier choices, weather they be good or evil. But one thing is certain: The world is in for one hell of a roller coaster ride, and the lives of millions will rest with those who seek to stop the madness.
Rules:
1.> No Godmodding. If someone learns your character's real name and has your face in mind, you're gonna die. It is imparative you at least use an alias.
2.> If you choose to make the Shinigami eye deal, you will have 50-100 posts in the roleplay forum before your character's life ends. After all, your full life span is cut in half from the deal.
3.> At no time will a Shinigami write a person's name, unless it is the name of the Death Note owner. If they write the name of someone that is not the Death Note owner, they will die and thier lifespan will be added to the Death Note user's.
4.> Paragraph roleplay. For each post you make, you must type at least 3 full sentences. NO LEET or NET SPEAK! Thank you.

(Y/N): Yes Role: Protagonist Shinigami (If Yes): Lilliandra Job: Criminal Psychologist, the current 'L' Personality: Robert can be friendly at times, but his trust is hard to gain. Even when trust is earned, he rarely ever opens himself up. He has a very sharp mind and tried to anticipate actions, emotions and thoughts in advance, putting himself in the shoes of the criminals he hunts. Bio: Having been raised most of his life in the Waltari House for the Gifted, Robert went onto Harvard University to experience life outside of the only home he's known at the age of 16. While attending college, Robert came across a Death Note laying in a trash can. most people thought of the book as a joke, and no one had used it. However, Robert learned about the Kira events from the former L, Near, who had died only two years ago from old age. Robert knew that, in the wrong hands, another Kira could emerge. it wasn't long after finding it that Robert found himself face to face with Lilliandra, a Shinigami and former Detah Note user. She told Robert about 6 other death notes that a Shinigami named Light had stolen from the other shinigamis and scattered across the world, to locations unknown. Now, putting aside college life, Robert returns to the Waltari house and resumes his identity as the new L. Robert has never used the Death Note and keeps it on his person at all times, just in case of a dire emergency. He seeks to find the remaining 6 death notes before a world wide catastrophy occurs.

Name: Mathew Godredson Alias: Godred Slight Gender: Male Age: 19 Appearance:  Role: Borderline (he's odd though) Country: Russia Spoken Languages: Russian, German, English, Death Note?: Yes Shinigami: Beor' Gand Job: A Painter, free-lance Personality: Varies from mood to mood, he can be nice, but he can become volitile when angered. Bio: Mathew was raised in Moscow, exsposed to the dark and unforiving world beneath the cities still grim facade. He quickly adapted, becoming ruthless in competitions, but letting up when among friends or those he had no reason to hurt. Mathew found the Death Note one day when doing a job for the Russian mafia, in one of the seedeir parts of Moscow. Ever since, he's been using it as he sees fit, killing off the debters he felt could pay, and the cons who conned those who couldn't. He tried to be fair, but soon realized he couldn't do it all, and soon faded into the back ground, rarely killing anyone. Mathew took up painting after he left the mafia, yet he couldn't escape the Death Note. It oftn turned up in his paintings, held by men or women, in an overgrown tangle of vines, anywhere he could fit it. Mathew has had a few paintings exported, under his alias, Godred Slight.

He thought about killing them but refused at the moment he thought of it. He went to college with a scholarship and has been killing major criminals along with occasional murderers.

Death Note? (Y/N): Y Shinigami (If Yes): Zellogi Job: Notorius Hacker, waitress at a cosplay cafe Personality: A quiet child, she's always watching as things happen, a silent spectator of sorts. She a kind girl, but she does keep her distance to people since they so often bug her. However, she doesn't show that they do. She feels the world needs to change, and is somewhat inspired by the stories she used to hear of Kira. She is brilliant with computers, yet when she tries to explain anyone's problem to them, she fails miserably and so does it for them instead. Bio: Naomi was a normal high school student, looking towards the future, though not entirely in the same fashion as other girls her age. Sure, college crossed her mind, but it's the bigger issues that they can't change is what bothers her most. Crime rates are on the rise again, all around the world. It makes her sick. She just wants to reform the world so that fewer people have to suffer, she isn't aiming to be a god. When she finds the Deathnote in the bushes outside her home, she finds that chance. She figured some kid had made it, but she didn't throw it and instead hid it in her room. It's not like anyone would find it, she lives alone since her parents are away all the time for business. The moment that Zellogi visited her home, she knew that it was real, listening as he explained everything about the six other deathnotes in the world. He even told her about everything that happened with Ryuk, Rem, Gelus, Sidoh, Light/Kira, and the L's since he was around during that time. It surprised her to find out these stories were true, but she knew that she would be smarter about how she went about doing her dirty work. She still hasn't killed yet, she's waiting for the right chance since she knows that there must be a new L that will hunt her once she starts getting the hang of things. He gave her the option of the eye trade, but she declined, she could find out what she needed via her networks. A couple are even connected to the government since they knew they couldn't beat her, and so she is payed off to keep secrets and stay in line. Occasionally she'll get them information as well.

[Ok, we'll start off with what we have. For those looking to join, we need a DN holder in Germany, Iraq and Greece, as well as some people to play as the special police task force members.]

"So, it's begun." Robert calmly said as he looked through all of the reposrts. "And from the looks of things, it began a few years back, but only now has the media begun picking up the trends. Were it just the doing of one person, this might be easier, but since I have one and there are six more out there, I don't think even Near would be able to find all of them."
But you aren't Near Robert. You are the current L. But I will remind you that I will not interfere or assist, even though I feel that you are noble to attempt this endevor I will only tell you whatever you ask about concerning the Death Not eand its uses. And remember, the eye trade is always open if you change your mind. Lilliandra spoke, appearing behind him. "I understand that Lilly, believe me. However, this death note is a weapon of immense power, capable of killing anyone in the world. World leaders at the mercy of some unknown person or group, chaos, innocent people as well as guilty being slaughtered. Someone has to step up, and with the information of the previous Kira investigations and everything you've told me about the Death Note, the rules and how specificly it can be used, I at least have a good head start." he spoke.
"L, there's going to be an art exhibit and auction in a few hours, and I think you might want to go and take a look at one of the paintings in particular." spoke a woman who appeared to be in her fourties. Her name was Lillian, a former orphan of the Wammy House and now its headmistress. She held up a newspaper with a picture of one of the available pieces of art for sale there. After a close examination, he could spot within the painting a picture of a Death Note in the lower left hand corner.
"Interesting. I only started three days ago looking through all of the records, and now we are on the way to aquiring our first lead." he replied with a smile.

Mathew sat in his studio, studying the canvas carefully. It was completely blank, and he meant to do something about it "Why not just paint a memory?" Beor' Gand said, standing next to him and looking at the canvas intently as well.
Mathew chuckled and wondered how a room full of Russian Mobsters would look on it "I think you are on to something!" he said happily, glancing at his freind. Well, accompliace, though he does treat me like a friend... Mathew thought, grabbing a semi-wide brush from a cup next to his stool "A memory then?" he asked aloud, begining the edges of the dark room.

"Xie xie, zai jian!" Naomi bowed to the couple that left the cafe, a wide smile on her face as the bell around her neck jingled a little. She sighed lightly, fixing the cat ears in her hair as she turned around and headed behind to the back. Her shift was finally over, thank god for that. She waved to her manager, getting changed in the backrooms, nodding her head to the others that were there. Their cafe was doing well even if it was shaky, given the tension between the japanese and chinese that still existed.
Once she had returned to her street clothes, she turned the combination lock that led to where they kept all the costumes, heading out the door with a small Jack Skellington bag over her shoulder. Checking her watch, she ignored a figure that started floating behind her, putting her sunglasses on as she moved through the streets. It didn't take her long to arrive at her small apartment, locking the door with a sigh. "Zellogi, I know you are anxious for me to make a kill, but it's not going to happen. Not yet. L is probably watching at any point in time, especially right now since he knows about the other five death notes. Did you check to make sure no one has bugged here?" She asked as she put her bag down, heading into the kitchen to heat up some grub.
"Yes I've checked, geez. But there are ways to hide your deaths. Why not just make the eye trade-"
She spun around and narrowed her eyes, making him stop short. "I told you, I'm not making the trade. I have too many clients and can't afford to shorten my life. Besides, I expect that I shall die for what I want to do anyways. No point in shortening it further than absolutely necessary." She said in a low voice, hearing her computer ding with an instant message. Grabbing her dumplings, she went into her "office," locking the door to be extra safe. She then tilted her head at the request she received, her fingers flying across the keys in answer, beginning her professional work. She ignored Zellogi's complaints behind her, occasionally popping a fried won ton into her mouth.

(Y/N): Yes Shinigami (If Yes): Sonya Job: Waitress, Nanny ( O.O for those of you who do not know, German Nannies are VERY strict and... scary.. ) Personality: Happy, strict, distant, quiet at times, and a bit of a sadist, she doesn't show much emotion, unless she is around children. She doesn't put up with any crap from anyone, and will do just about anything for her friends. She is a good listener and often lets people vent their feelings to her. Bio: She was your typical high-school student, when one day, she found the Death Note on her way to work. She plans to go to college, and lives with her mother. She has read all the old stories from the Kira case, and believed what he was doing to be right. She first didn't believe that she was one to get a Death Note, and when Sonya arrived, she started work talk with her, and figure out what she knew about the past Kira case. She now works to kill of criminals. She traded her human eyes for the Shinigami eyes, and doesn't care about the consequence.
