Now having just watched Shrek, specifically the part where Donkey sweet-talks his way out of being dragon food, I had to wonder: In a fantasy world, how does being half-horse affect our place in the wider scheme of things? Specifically, given our de-urbanised living habits, how much more likely are we to get hunted down and devoured?
More importantly though, how far would you go to get out of being eaten by a rampaging dragon? I want creative answers here people!

Well, first I'd run like hell. Then I'd jump on it's back, hoping it won't notice a good meal on its back.

I don't think centaurs have to worry about being eaten by many things. As for escaping a dragon I don't think there's much I could do except run. o_o;

I feel that since both Centaurs and Dragons are few among the world, that we would respect each other and not bother one another. But if there is a problem i feel that we could talk our way out of being the Dragons next meal.

I don't think there's much reasoning to be done with a hungry dragon.

Arrows wouldn't do much good against a dragon.

I think that dragons are the least of our worries... there are vampires, kelpies, phookas, and all other manner of creatures to worry about.
And as for the dragon... play a riddle game with it... they LOVE riddles and would be too preoccupied with answering the riddle to care about eating you.

I have never heard of a centaur vampire so we are most likely immune to that stuff biggrin The riddle idea is great!

a vampire centaur would be interesting.
As for dragons...its a dragon, not much you can do except scream and run. Then again, a dragon being a dragon....I don't think a centaur would run across many dragons, given centaur and dragon living habitats. Unless maybe the centaur herd lived up in the mountains- then maybe they'd have more run-ins w/ the dragons. But in the forest...well. maybe you can run and hide. Then again, the dragon could just crash/ burn the trees down....

In answer to the first question... I think that we COULD be eaten by some things...but not dragons. Ordinarilly Magical beasts leave each other alone..
