It's been a while since I've written in this journal... I've actually been writting in another book but I seem to have misplaced it. I was saving this one for when Jim learns how to write but I guess I'll have to write in it for a little while longer.
As for Jim... he's grown so much! He's a child now, and he's also Final stage Smo now... there's a long story behind that. I did take him to the eye doctors and get his eyes checked... the people there said they couldn't get to his eyes to look at them and find out if he had problems (he was complaining and rubbing his eyes a lot so I thought there might be something wrong). I gave up.... there was nothing I could do.... But a few months ago (and this sounds so strange) he changed to final stage... he grew into a little humaniod.... Em says that there's some kind of difference in the Smo's and the Sm's ... that Smo's have a gene trait that shows up faster and changes them into humanoids? ... Well I dinnae really ken what it's all abaout... but Jim's a little humanoid...
I took him back to the eye doctor and they had a look and his left eye is detatched by the retina... He can't see out of it at all... His right eye is a brilliant brown, but his left eye is clear blue... We got some eye drops and such and after a short while of using them his eye seems to have stopped hurting him and he's much more at ease with it. All and all he seems to be a much happier person/smo...
I worry about him more now I think... he's talking and asking questions...
And jumping off of things. He's handicapped! He's partially blind! Why doesn't he take it easy? Why does he feel the need to climb up to the balcony of Saty's treehouse in the back yard and jump off it? He's an insane little daredevil and I love him so much that I cannae help but worry about him. That being said, of course Ranald had to go and buy him a pair of rollerskates... he's as happy as a mouse in a cheese house. I just want to take the stupid things and have Tam and Sk glue the wheels to the floor... or put nails in them or whatever Tam and Sk get up to these days.
Jim's so cute. He's got short curly black hair, little orange furry Smo ears where his human ears should be and a furry orange and black tail. His favourite shirt (the only one he'll wear) is one of Mum's old shirts with the pumpkin on the front. He's so cute it's hard to stay mad at him.

And I saw Dan the other day. He came to the Smo center to say hi to me... to me! I've been thinking about him a lot lately. I want him to meet Jim but I dinnae want to scare him off. I havenae thought about someone as much as I think about him since I thought about Isto all the time (does that make sense?)... which, come to think of it, is kind of creepy... he is Isto's twin brother and all.
I might give him a call again sometime... find out if he wants to go somewhere with me... I dinnae ken... anywhere really. Just to get to know him better. Just to be around him for a while.
