Well, I'm assuming that most of you by now know of the infinite power and toughness combo you can generate on a Quillspike with a devoted druid, my addition is TWO cards that i've thrown into my mono-green block constructed to good success.

First, since you're ultimate goal is to run them over with a Garruk 4 charge overrun, you might as well go the 5 colourless 1 green Roughshod Mentor, granting all your green creatures trample.

Secondly, and FAR more importantly, you SHOULD add Mercy Killing. Contrary to first glance, this is NOT removal you should be using this on either your monstrous Primalcrux, OR on your Infinite/Infinite Quillspike. In essence, making as many 1/1 soldier tokens as you can.

and example of your ideal start would be:

Turn 1: forest, Nettle Sentinel

Turn 2: forest #2, Devoted Druid.

Turn 3: Forest #3 (hopefully), Quilspike

Turn 4: Forest #3-4 (again, hopefully), pass turn and Mercy Kill your Quillspike in response to them passing the turn.

Turn 5: Ideally you drop the Wilt-Leaf Liege and crush with 3/3's

Anyways, hope this was at least entertaining, maybe some of you will even try out a mono-green for your own upcoming tournaments.

The problem with that deck is that a Turn 4 Wrath of God from your opponents side destroy your combo.

I have been using something like this in Standard now:

2 x Treetop Village
4 x Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 x Twilight Mire
5 x Forest
3 x Swamp

4 x Devoted Druid
4 x Bloom Tender
3 x n** Gwyllion
3 x Kitchen Finks
3 x Murderous Redcap
3 x Oona Queen of the Farie
3 x Quillspike

3 x Rite of Consumption
3 x Profane Command
3 x Infest
3 x Snakeform
3 x Umbral Mantle

It could kill in turn three using
1. Land, n** Gwyllion
2. Land, Bloom tender
3. Land, Umbral mantle, equip umbral mantle in bloom tender and then tap it for 3 mana, untap and repeat then Rite of consumption.

Or produce infinite mana (with another creature) to put into play Oona and then mill your opponent or use the Profane Command with infinte mana. Even if you don't have infinite mana, you could use the Umbral Mantle/Bloom tender combo to give 1 creature fear and attack with a really big bloom tender.

Prior to rotation used Damnation instead of Infest and truth to be told, Infest doesn't cut it, so I will think on some replacements.

kill Devoted Druid and win, this is mostly how the deck is beaten.

the Bloomtender + Mantle is a good second win condition.

also every aggro deck hates being wrathed, thats why they have Thoughtseize's in black.

a dutch player qaulified for nationals with this combo ( Quil + Druid )

This is way the Quill combo is normal ran in Green/Black decks with Profane Command. If the Druid gets killed they just Profane and put it back into play. I play the Quillspike deck but have moded it for the meta on my play area. I added 4 Primal Commands, 3 Treetop Village, I run a fourth Mosswart Bridge and I also Run 3 Cloud Thresher mained and one in the side along with Terror and I up the Makeshift count from 2 to 4. Makeshift is just to damn good in the deck. I like Makeshifting a Thresher and then playing Rite for the win one the end of their turn, you have no idea how pissed ppl tend to get at that play. 4laugh
