As abruptly as he usually spoke, Bear stepped forward, grasped the girl around the waist and by her uninjured arm, and then pushed her back onto the bed, surprising himself with how gently he handled her. "You shouldn't get up until you eat something," he advised her hoarsely as he let her go. He brought up both fists and rubbed at his eyes as if trying to hurt himself before pushing his hair off his head and leaning against the wall next to the door. He had to get rid of this infernal itching in his eyes before they became something more than just puffy and red.
He was not about to watch another girl die while he stood by and watched.

When Bear put Katherine back onto the bed, she blinked, thoroughly confused. A few moments ago, Bear seemed extremely uncomfortable, angry possibly. After listening to him, she nodded, just in time for the nurse to come back.
"Oh, you're awake!" She said, smiling as she brought the food, setting it down on the nightstand. "I brought you some things to eat." She told him as she straightened her uniform. "You should eat, then you can go."
Katherine nodded. "Thank you..." She murmured as she reached for the sandwich, unwrapping it before she took a bite.

Jasper nodded at the nurse and gave one last lingering look at the girl in the bed. She looked so frail, lying there. And he doubted their paths would ever cross again, that is - unless something else happened to her in front of him.
He flashed a brief smile at her before making his way out of the infirmary.

Katherine sighed as the boy that had carried her into the infirmary left. She should have known better than to think that he would have stayed. Sighing, she quickly worked on eating, hoping it wouldn't take long. She wanted to get out of here as fast as possible. She saw Bear was there, but she was afraid that he might be mad. He had been delicate with her though.

Bear shot Katherine a furtive look from beneath his fringe. "So, uh..." he trailed off uselessly, running a hand through his hair. Then he realized he was still sopping wet. He blinked and looked at Katherine again. "Weren't you in the garden like, twenty minutes ago?"

Katherine nodded. "Yeah. I remember lending you the towel." She said as she ate some more. "I'm sorry for getting you involved." She told him as she took another bite.

Bear shrugged. "Doesn't matter," he quietly said. "He didn't know the way here; anyone would have done the same." He rubbed the back of his neck in the way he did whenever attention was brought to him, and his face burned.

Katherine nodded, before she realized. "No...not just anyone. Most wouldn't care..." She murmured as she smiled at him gently. "Thank you. Thank you very much." She told him. She noticed the blush, but didn't comment on it.

For some unknown reason, Bear found the corners of his mouth tugging up at the corners. He then realized he was smiling and quickly wiped it away. It wasn't right of him to smile. He wasn't supposed to be happy without his Girl, after all. "No problem," he said quietly before swallowing again. "Well...I'm still wet and cold, so...I should probably head off to my dorm.... Unless you want me to stay...?" he offered.

Bella nodded, knowing that he should probably go, since he was wet. "I guess you should go, but I don't really want you to go..." She murmured as she finished off her food. "Would you mind....if I went with you?" She asked, blushing a little.

Bear blinked, slightly confused, at Bella. Weren't people who lost blood supposed to stay in bed until their blood cell count goes up? He swallowed and shrugged a little. "I...guess so...only if you feel up to it, though." He blinked again, not knowing where those words came from. Oh well. If she swayed even a little bit he would bring her right back here to bed anyway.

Bella nodded. She did feel a little weak, but she did not want to be in a hospital room by herself. "Thanks, I appreciate it. Hospitals are not my favorite place to be." She told him as she put the tray down onto the nightstand before getting up. "Shall we?"

Bear swallowed nervously for what felt like the millionth time that day as he found his arm twitching to make sure she was steady on her feet. He quickly glued his arms to his sides. "Um...yeah." Sure and whatever usually followed that sentence, but he felt that it would sound a bit rude to say in this circumstance. He ducked his head and shoved his hands into his pockets as he made his way out and toward his dorm.
