I have seen Cats, Les Miserables, South Pacific, Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street, Swing, and Fosse. Cats was the first I ever saw so it was a magical experience for me. I think the only one I wasn't really impressed with was South Pacific....but that had quite a bit to do with the production...the people in it and so forth....

What is cats like? I sooooo want to see that, I can play their theme song Memories on the piano and I can also play the Phantom of the Opera as well, I played the Phantom at a end of year piano concert that my piano teacher made me go to, I won a certificate so I thought that was pretty coolies.

I saw the musical and I loved it! it was truly fantastic, they had everyone in the theatre up and dancing and clapping by the end of it. They even had audience participate and go up onstage wich I thought was heaps cool. I am getting the soundtrack as well.

Okay, going out on a limb and dating myself, but I saw "Annie" at the Music Center in LA in 1979 or 1980... cannot remember which, and yes, I was already all grown up and out of high school. Most memorable aspect of Annie was when the dog playing Sandy did number 2 on the stage... they had a very efficient way of getting it picked up almost unnoticibly. Have also managed to see (over time) Once Upon a Mattress in 1976 (yes I am that old) and Beatlemania in 1978. Now that I list them, I guess Sandy doodling on the stage pretty much ended my musical going or maybe it had more to do with moving from So California to Las Vegas oh so long ago, although I have seen a couple musical revues here in Las Vegas which are certainly not the same thing redface

I saw Annie... don't remember what year.. or even where... Downtown Detroit and probably late 70's is as close as I can get to remembering.
I have it on dvd, and BabyBipper loves it. She also loves Cats on dvd... so I am thinking of taking her to see it , it is coming to the Masonic Temple (downtown Detroit)
I have also seen Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas about 10 years ago... not exactly a musical, but the music is incredible.

There is no shortage of entertainment here, and yet I rarely find a reason to go out rofl

Pretty much true. Also, there is so much here, and my time is pretty much unlimited for getting out to see it... and I am a great procrastinater... it is not so glitzy in the places I find myself... since I seriously avoid the Strip or Downtown unless there are visiters in town. I have already met two purkles in RL by living in Las Vegas, not to mention the 4 besides myself who live here. rolleyes There are still people who come to town and do not call me even though I invite them to, but that is their loss, because I am a very gracious hostess, and I will at least buy them a cup of coffee while they are here rofl Drove Gigglybippers sister and her friend all the way to WalMart so she could get a shopping fix last January or February even..... rofl
