Ah just backing up some thing I've known for ever. The only thing that wires affect is the powere you can send to your speakers. I've jerry rigged a few things befor. I don't think I would consider for a second that any cable sounds better then another with the same power handling.

I still maintain that anything your signal goes through affects your tone. I use a Monster instrument cable to go from my guitar to my amp, but that's about it.
