She was a fully grown cheetah yet her bosdy was very petite. Her bone structure was delecate her skull lichgt and rounded as all cheetahs. Her leg were long and swift moving as she padded along, her tail swaying gently behind her. As with all cheetahs her lope was swift and graceful her suple mucles moving in a fluid manner.
As was usual with her latest escapades, the slender cheetah knew not wheer she was or wheer she was headed. the world was her oyster but home was behind her. Soft blue eyes watched the horizon in a soft, sadened manner. She did not know her goal, she was simply, moving because she could there was no rhyme nore reason to her journey. this above all things irritated ehr. Why had she not returned home yet? she wanted to yet her journey was not over and she did not know why. A soft sigh escaped the little cheetah as she paused and lay downin the long brittle grass. Where was she going?

It was so bright, the nitedwelling lion wishing for the sun to disappear behind the horizon, or at least some shade. Or better yet, a cool dark place to rest until nightfall. To one so used to walking in the dark, even the smallest amount of sunlight was blinding.
Pausing in his tracks, the lion's ears flicked, nose twitching at the scents in the air. Rather than his eyes, this lion relied more on his nose and his ears to guide him, that's not to say his vission was lacking, he had just learned to use other senses more.
There was someone nearby, though he couldn't tell who. It was certainly feline, though it didn't smell of a lion. Well...he didn't smell any danger in the air, so it was what it was...he'd worry about it when he got there.

Colches ears leapt in to the air at the sound of somehting approachig. Heavy foot falls. The plodding sound of paws upon dry ground, shifting sands. Oh gods it was a lion!
Leaping to ehr foot paws suddenly the little cheetah stood stock still guaging wheer ther beast was in comparison to ehrself. She couldn't run, she wanted to, but he was far too close for ehr to dash away with any sort of speed. Looking around herself she stared wide eyed, her tail out behind her bushing up in a bottle brush like manner. "St..st..stay back" she stumbled over her words, something she hadn't done in a very long time. She was so much more confident now but seeing a lion ebfore ehr and a very large one at that, her heart leapt in to her throat.
By Colche's reaconing all lions were cheetah kilelrs, this was just another lion an obstacle between her and escape, freedom and life. She visably panted lookingvery frightened. Was this her end? Had her wanderings braught hetr the same fate as her mother?

Lifting his head, white mane falling around his shoulders and ears, the lion's pale blue eyes focused on the smaller cat. He had paused in his tracks purely out of instinct, his tail flicking behind him. His voice was calm, flowing like the river or the waves of the ocean with a slight accent that was difficult to place.
"What's your problem?"
The lion stepped forwad again, continuing his path, unhindered by the cheetah's presence or her words.

Colche let out a slight squeeky upset sound. It wa sort of a whistle of distress and she tried to back away "Lion!" She stated simply her tongue lolling out. She panted in an extremely feared manner her perfect baby blue eyes wide with the shock of being so close. "I don't wnat to die!" she squeeked ehr voice strained and almost exhausted sounding.
The femmes long tail lashed around behind her in a sort of helicopter like movement, she was aggitated afraid and far worse paralised to the spot. She felt shocked and exhausted unable to run even if she could have gotten away. "st..stay where you are..please" she mumbles then her voice lowering to a pitch which was difficult to hear. When had a lion ever listened to a cheetah? Which ever god was watching her was not in a kind mood. did they wish her to die today?
Amon Larethian

His head turned, looking from side to side, pretending to be searching for the creature she had spoken of. It seemed he was feeling a bit sarcastic today, but it wasn't really ment to mock the frightened cheetah. Though he did think it was rather silly for her act that way.
"Yeah, I'm a lion, so what?"
He failed to see what the big deal was. So he was a lion, and this was a cheetah, who cares? The prince of his pride was a cheetah after all, what did it matter what this cat was or what any other cat was.
The lion tilted his head, ears flicking curiously as he watched the cheetah's movements. What was with her anyways? Someone needed to learn to chill.
"You always this jumpy?"
Syrius Lionwing
Colche's ears twitched unhappily though she did calm at least a little bit "y..y..You're not going to ku..ku..kill me?" she managed to stutter though her legs were still tenced, she would get awayw ith her life even if it meant sacrificing an appendage to this collosus.
"Lions kill cheetahs." She stated suddenly as if it needed to be said! Thats what lions did they killed cheetahs they mauled their bodies and left them and it wasn't even for food it was for sport for their own twisted sences of humour.
"No! I am not infact usually this jumpy but you pride cats make me nervous!" she sniffed unhappily her voice almost whined now as she watched the white maned male ehr tail still whacked around in an irrattic manner, the fur on the back of ehr neck was slowly standing on end and a line of risen hair flowed along ehr spine. Did he expect her to just relax? He was a lion! They had killed ehr mother why should shenot be nervous?
Amon Larethian

"I suppose that's true, some lions do kill cheetahs. Though I know a cheetah that would happily kill a lion."
He shook his head, taking shelter from the sun again behind his white mane, shifting to the small amount of shadow that stretched across the ground. Every part of the lion's posture was calm, relaxed...no, more like it just didn't matter. In fact this cat was the quintessencial ocean bum, fitting of his name king of the sea.
"Why...would I want to kill you?"
Syrius Lionwing
Colche licked ehr lips calmly. A cheetah that could kill a lion? "there is a cheetah taht could kill a lion?" she sounded flabbaghasted. How could a cheetah kill a lion? wasn't it an impossibility? Wasn't it impossible for cheetahs to be green though and wasn't it impossible for them to climb trees? her journey had devouched all these things. She had seen them even the tree leaping cheetah.
"I..I don't know" she stumbles over her words though she did calm slightly simply because of his posture. Lions tenced before they pounced "I wish i knew why lions kill cheetahs. it is beyond my understanding" Her ears flickered and flatteend against ehr head as she said it. She looked embaressed almost ashamed of ehr assumation. "you see..uhm..lions killed my mother..i thought..thought you were all the same." She cleared her throat, what she meant was she had assumed, yet heer was a lion whom was so laid back he was telling her of a cheetah that could kill a lion? She was surprised, to say the least.
Amon Larethian

"Sure, brute force isn't everything."
Ali stood enough to extend his forelegs before him in a long relaxing stretch, his jaws falling open, tounge rolling past white teeth in a wide yawn before settling back on his haunches again. Could a lion get any more relaxed? If so, it would be Ali'ikai who discovered how.
"Well...you shouldn't judge us all by the actions of one. There is good and bad in everything."
Quite a profound statement from such an easy-going lion, perhaps there was more there than the ocean bum after all.
Syrius Lionwing
Cheetahs wern't known for their strength so yes it was quite the surprise for Colche to learn there was such a cheetah. Another tale to tell to the coalition perhaps? A cheetah that could kill a lion. It did so amaze her.
Swaying her long tails he once again looked at the big blue male sheepishly "Yes, I suppsoe it is rather foolish of me but it ishard to cast away a fear so deep set." She sighs softly her dusty blue gaze looking up to the soft blue sky. She settled down a little in the grass then. Though the brittle stems hindered ehr view of the white maned lion she could still smell him. her mucles still tenced,s eh was ready to dive away if she had to but he seemed so relaxed, so laid back that she could feel no errant danger.
"Perhaps if i meet more like you sir over time trust will come to me" she whispers watching the grass move and expose the deep blue of the large male. perhaps this journey was for soemthing after all? She needed to know this didn't she? That not all lions would kill her on sight? She would always be cautious of them. Still at least this was a start, she wasn't as frightened of this laid back lion as she would normally be in this situation.
Amon Larethian

As a cub he had been lost, seperated from his family and his home. But even so, he had been found, given a new family and a new life, and he was happy. He sometimes wondered about his past, but hadn't it all worked out fine in the end?
"I suppose, but it seems silly to let fear rule your life."
He shifted, turning away from the sun and the bright light that pierced his pale blue eyes and backed down on his blue hide.
Syrius Lionwing
"Yes I suppsoe it is but I have never been a strong cheetah and there are many that could take my life at the flick of a paw." she paused fior a moment silent in her thought patterns "I live a good life but you have shown me something sir" She whispered "not all lions will kill me on sight. It is a lesson I much needed to learn." She stretched out her claws peering at the sky through the dry brown grasses.
"Thankyou for that" She stood slowly then ehr long slender tail swaying behind her her dusty blue eyes resting upon the male once again. "Thankyou" She bowed ehr graceful swanlike neck to the big lion turning to leave. Perhaps this was what her journey was about, it was a journey to learn her place and the place of others in the world. She would certainly still be cautious of lions but less frightened of them from now on. She smiled back at the male, she would never have turned ehr back on a lion before yet here she was walking away from him. She sighed gently. This was certainly a good day her journey she felt was nearing an end she would soon return to the coalition lands with many stories and with more courage than she had ever held before.

He stayed where he was a short while until the cheetah had moved off. When she had faded from view, he stood to his white paws and walked on, continuing the path he had been traveling before until he found a dark place to rest until nitefall.
