There's some stoves, and fridges and freezers, and stuff for cooking...the hell do you expect from a kitchen? There's also a trash compactor, and a sink, and a dishwasher...the dining room has a big table with lots of chairs! It' a castle run by an aristocratic vampire. Not too tough to imagine this one.

Draega had spent the since Micah and Kain's mutual disappearance mostly absorbed in practice, hoping to get a handle on her new abilities, as well as simply getting used to the feel of her new body. She found she had to test her limitations once more as they had changed greatly since Kain had given her this new life. She worried about him and Micah constantly, though she found she was still angry with her old friend. Still, she was glad Maya had been there. She had been a good friend and an amazing confidant in the last few days.

Despite herself Draega had grown to consider her a good friend, and even let her in on some of her secrets. She had told her of how she had grown up, she had even told her about how and why she had fallen in love with Kain, and Micah as well. Draega found her to be easy to talk to and found that she started to see her as the sister she had never been blessed with.

So when Draega awoke on this latest day she felt at ease, not quite as much as she had felt within Kain's arms the night she had been changed, but she felt alright. She emerged from her bed dressed in one of Kain's shirts, a habit she had picked up since his disappearance. She moved through the motions of her morning with an almost mundane sort of ritualistic manner. When at last she had changed into her choice of simple black slacks and an elegant, starlit midnight blue shirt that hung off her shoulders like water. Draega's black wings were kept hidden a great deal of the time, though today she had chosen to let them out, as if a testament to her somber mood. As she stared at her reflection in the mirror Draega concentrated for a moment until her red eyes changed to the blue-purple they had been when she was simply a U.H., merely a small illusion trick she had learned over the past few days.

Then, as she continued to stare at her reflection, Draega let out a sigh and let herself drift down through the floor to the dinning room. She looked around for a moment, hearing the occupant noise of the entire Black Rose around her. And with a calm and sorrowful sort of air she padded her way softly across toward the kitchen, her bare feet making no sound as they swept across the floor.

Maya's thoughts were no longer on Micah, instead she found herself worried about the Dark Lord, though being with Dreaga eased the scientist's mind, she loved spending time with the Dark Lady, sharing secrets, and learning things she never thought that she would learn, even helping Dreaga with a few glamor techniques.

Maya wore a light purple top that matched her hair which thanks to Dreaga was tightly braided and laid to one side. She also wore black slacks held up by a stylish black and purple belt. Her feet were barefoot though the tone-nails were painted light purple.

Eyes of gold would look to the Dark Lady as soon as she entered the dining hall, in her hands was a plate of solidified blood in the shape of a bat hey even a tough scientist like herself had a sense of humor. "Hey there sis, I made you a blood bat, figured you may be hungry" Maya smiled and sat herself down waiting for her dear friend to join her.

Draega smiled at her friend, and although it was honestly pleased it was also strained, as if she had not slept. With an easy movement the white-haired woman took a seat beside the head of the table, to the right. She refused to sit at the head, it made her feel awkward and it reminded her only of how much she missed Kain. So instead of focusing on it she always insisted that Maya sat across from her so that they could talk and so she could look the other woman in the eye.

Draega poked at her breakfast absently, her eyes distant and tired. With a sigh Draega set her spoon down, as she found her appetite had not only lessened since she had been changed but that it took a great deal for her to actually garner up an urge to eat at all. So instead she laced her fingers together and stared over them across the table at Maya and placed her tired smile on once more. "Did you sleep well Maya?" Draega asked, honestly wanting to know, she had never had the chance to ask that to anyone before. Her mother and father had always been absent and her siblings had never been kind enough for her to want to ask the question in the first place. She liked being able to simply ask. " I'm afraid I spent a great deal of the night thinking instead of sleeping."

Maya didn't have to be a mind reader to know that something bothered her, even though Kain wasn't around Maya had a sick feeling something horrible was going to happen. She fixed herself a cup of tea and looked to the Dark Lady as she asked her question, taking a sip she then answered. "As did I, I am worried about our Dark Lord, something doesn't feel right.. His energy no doubt has sky rocketed, but he seems..."

She'd shake her head and took another sip of tea as she closed her eyes. "A little more then just pissed" She'd sigh and look out the stain glass window Kain was somewhere amongst the town, the question was; where? She'd look back to Dreaga and placed her hands ontop of hers. "Lady Dreaga, no doubt that we have gotten closer, almost able to sense each others pains and power." Those golden hues were glued to Dreaga's blue-violet ones. "There has to be something we can do... I know he needs his space, but I can't help but think that there would be something you or I could do to calm his state of mind."

Draega smiled at Maya and made an effort to take a large bite out of the solidified blood. She ate it slowly and when at last she had swallowed folded her hands in her lap and merely seemed to watch her good-friend. At her expression of a need to do something to help Kain Draega couldn't help but sigh and look out the window as well. After a moment, she stood and went to it, staring out it with dark and worried eyes. "I know how you feel Maya...but...I have come to understand that there are somethings which Kain needs to do on his own. It may be hard to accept but he does know what he's doing." At the thought of her dark lord a wistful and loving smile slowly grew from her lips.

At last she turned to face Maya with the same smile for she had come to a decision. "Maya ...in these past few days I have come to love you more dearly than family...or like family. Though since my own family was never loving I am not sure how it would feel to have one. I would like to say that it feels very much like how I feel now. I would hate to lose you Maya ....you have become very dear to me." With a sigh Draega turned her eyes back to the window and for a minute they flashed red before she reigned herself back in and turned them back.

"Maya...what I'm about to ask is very difficult for me...and I understand that it will be perhaps even more difficult to answer ...but...this is the first time I have ever felt like I had a real family....someone I truly care about like a sister. I would like for you to become my sister...my blood sister if that is how it is called. I understand that this might be hard for you so please...take your time in answering me. I do not ...in any way...wish to pressure you into something you don't want." Draega turned to Maya when she had finished, her deep eyes gazing at her in a way that was swimming with emotion and yet still held it's distance. It was truly more difficult than Draega would have liked to admit for her to say her feelings allowed, especially to another woman. The only other girl she had ever been able to establish a good relationship with was Lilane, and that had only begun out of necessity. Draega was reluctant to make friends with girls, mostly because of the way her mother had treated her. So she desperately hoped she had not made a mistake in asking Maya this important question.

Maya would walk over to Dreaga after hearing her talk about the dark lord, she'd stand behind her with her head down in a nod, knowing that the dark lady said was indeed correct, she knew in her heart Kain would come back. She was about to walk turn and walk away when her eyes grew wide upon hearing Dreaga, and how she felt about her, she'd place her hand over her heart to try to still her rapid heart beat, she'd spin around causing the braid to flow behind her, as those golden hues would sparkle.

"I too have felt it, the longing to be with you, I have come to love you as well, but I figured it was because you were a vampire and I human. Oh Dreaga I never had a sister before in my life being as I was an only child" She'd walk to the woman and stood before her, gently placing a gloved hand against her cheek, those gold eyes sparkled with more love for Dreaga then anyone she ever knew. "Of course I will be your blood sister, but what will Kain think of this? Do you.. think he will accept me into the family?"

Draega had to fight to keep her smile steady, it was more pleasing than anything else in the world to her to hear Maya agree to her request. However the gravity of the situation also made her smile falter and nearly made her feel weak. " I...I am not sure. I pray he will...no...I hope...but I have no doubt that he thinks of you as someone he can trust. " She took a moment and found she had to sit down as something seemed to weigh heavy on her chest. Something apart from the moment she was having with Maya. "I am no longer sure if he completely trusts me...I can no longer reach him...haven't been since the day he left. And...I can feel him...and yet I feel like it's not the same."

She shook her head and looked out the window once more, her blue-purple eyes distant. Until at last she allowed them to turn red and stay that way. "Come Maya...I think we should go out for a bit...I find I need some air.." she muttered, sincere in everything she said. She suddenly felt closed in, and despite her happiness with her friend and new-found sister...she still felt at odds.

Maya would simply look to Dreaga and let out a sigh, as she stood by Dreaga's side, and gently played with the white tresses that belonged to her sister. "Yes, I hope so as well" She'd watch the dark lady and placed her other hand on her shoulder in comfort. "Dreaga... he still does love you, but I-I don't know what's wrong, he doesn't seem like his self, you know him better then I, but I feel something is terribly wrong" Those golden hues would dim slightly at the mere thought of Dreaga's heart aching.

"Yes, I do believe you need some air, perhaps a walk in the forest might help?" She'd help Dreaga out of the chair and look to the window, the beautiful stain-glass, Kain did have great taste in castles.

Suddenly Draega's head lifted upwards and with a cry she clutched her chest, tears instantly spilling from her chest. She turned to Maya with a horrified look in her eyes and stood up straight, her eyes darting out the window and past it, to something she could feel but was not sure she understood. Then with a deep breath Draega steadied herself and turned to Maya, her red eyes steady and determined. "Maya...I fear my lord needs me. You may follow if you wish but...I sense that whatever lies ahead will not be very pretty." the white-haired woman's skin began to become translucent, and her eyes began to cloud over. "Either way Maya...I will need your answer instantly, fore I do not have the time to argue ...I must act...now."

Maya knew exactly what the pain in Dreaga's chest was... Golden hues widened in horror as she went to the dark lady, and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I will follow you and Lord Kain to the depths of Hell if needed, you are my sister and I love you and the Lord" Her eyes seemed to narrow as she looked out the window, her barbed wire would protrude from her shoulder blades in a form of awkward demonic wings, she'd clutch her fists and look back to her sister. "Lets go"

Draega nodded absently, for her whole body felt cold. She felt as if the world had spurned her. Turned away from her, when it had always been so open to her, and now it had turned as cold toward her as Micah had. Draega had always known pain, all the pain one could ever endure and more. She had had her heartbroken so many times, and whenever she had known the slightest amount of happiness it had always been taken from her. And now, at last, she had found some sort of happiness. With Kain, with Maya...she loved them with all her heart but as always, she was afraid. She was so dreadfully afraid that they too would be taken from her. And then she would be left with nothing, and no one. Only the world and it's heartbeat knew her, only it's warmth and it's warmth, and it's kindness. She was so very afraid that even this last hope would be taken from her and that she would have to return to a world of darkness and loneliness which crushed her and made her wish for nothing more than for it to end.

And so she gripped Maya tightly and her wings blossomed from her back larger than they ever had before. All color vanished from her eyes as she allowed herself and Maya to fall through the earth, at an unprecedented speed she let them fly through the earth. Toward the man who she loved so much it hurt her.
