I actually read something regarding shape-shifters, such as werewolves.
They are actually very powerful Photokinetics, who used their powers unconsciously as the result of a certain stimulus (i.e. Full Moon). That's why silver bullets had/have such a strong effect, since it disrupts the electromagnetic field that keeps the light bent into a wolf form.

I've never had to great of an interest in cryptozoology. Honestly, we're still discovering new species every day. Granted, they're usually insects or deep sea organisms, but I don't see why there can't be some huge ape running around the random plots of uncharted territory that exist around the world. I would say, however, that it is probably not existant in the US.

In other news, that alleged bigfoot body in those guys' freezer is actually a rubber gorilla suit.
