Has anybody read a good amount of the Anderson fairy tales? I have a book of them, and I love them all. Most people know The Little Mermaid and The Ugly Ducklingand The Emperor's New Clothes, but has anybody read The Wild Swans (It's been retold several different ways, but it's about a girl named Elise who has to knit shirts out of nettles for her brothers because they are cast under a spell and turn into swans during the day) or The Snow Queen? It's my personal favorite. And I know I'm getting rather long-winded, but does anybody prefer Anderson to Grimms? If so, join the club.
