ESF, Monroe, Aug 21-Sept 1.
So anyone going?
I was going to put my photography into the fair, but I ended up going to a ton of places that couldn't print out 9x12s for a reasonable price. I swear Ben Franklin has a ******** monopoly on their crafts and art section. "$30 WHAT FOR A PIECE OF GLOSSY PAPER AND INK?" --- Oh and it's no surprise that last year the only photos that got rosettes were 9x12 and bigger, even if the photo itself was ******** crappy. Seriously this picture of a flower field won Grand. I was pissed. (Not because I was sore from getting two 2nds and a third, but because there were tons better photos.)
Oh and SURPRISE, the grand prize winner of the photography, with her all-too-common/no thrill photo of a flower field blown up to super-size was a photography teacher at my school, who instructs all her students to go to Ben Franklin to get their photos done for a monopoly's price. There is so much corruption there.

I work for the race track there. (: Have worked there for five years now... Im the person who writes the cars as they cross the finish line for the Sunday/Friday night shows. (: So yes, I was at the fair. Got in for free even. haha.
