Well I live in Massachusetts so not much happens here that often the closest is flooding two years ago that displaced a huge percentage of my city. My house was fine though since i'm on high ground. Plus we get a lot of blizzards. I've never felt an earthquake, seen a tornado, or experienced like a serious hurricane.

Earthquakes are pretty common around here. If we don't get at least a small one every few months people start to worry, because it means a big one's bound to come.
A few years ago, when I was staying at my aunt, a tornado was supposed to be really close (I just went back to sleep...I was too tired to worry, but I freaked out in the morning XD), but thankfully, it wasn't close enough to really hit us.
And hurricanes aren't exactly uncommon here, either. Not that any have affected directly in my lifetime. We usually just get a bunch of stormy weather for a week or so, but the countries above us have it bad.... neutral

getting hit by a tornado seemed to last only for about 10 seconds. and I get paranoid every time I see a gray sky....

You couldn't live around here. Sky gets gray at least once a day because of heavy rains for 3/4 of the year. sad
I remember the sky being an weird grayish-yellow when the tornado was close...

You forgot blizzards man, Everywinter there's at least ONE the just destroys the general populus. Here in MI, living right on a lake. Strange strange things happen, all because of that giant body of fresh water xd About ten years ago there was a storm, not a tornado. But a storm truly worthy of a hurricane that ripped through the entire western half of the state. I was about 13 at the time and everything was shut down for almost 2 weeks xd

I can't imagine that Oregon's had any serious natural disasters, but it has had it's pretty bad forest fires, and here where I'm at there were a couple of ice storms and wind storms that got pretty bad, mostly just tipping lines over and freezing the streets so no one can drive. gonk Yay for ice ins because that gave me an excuse to stay home from school. Oh, I also remember that when my mom was pregnant with me I was in a pretty bad earthquake in Cali, but it was to long for me to remember to give details.

I live in Costa Rica, a tiny tropical country in Central America which has nice cool weather most of the year and you have a pretty good chance at winning if you bet it's gonna rain the next day xd
