And, no, this phrasing isn't directed toward pro-lifers. Rather, my thoughts toward the doctor. I apologize for any confusion.

No, I can say I haven't had sex, much less an abortion (Despite my sister's crude comments), but, after watching an anti-abortion video, not even finishing it, I decided I need to rant.
Yes, I can take to the understanding that pro-life people may want to be OB-GYN's, and they work in hospitals for birthing, if I remember correctly, but, what kind of pro-life person does a surgery to rid of a child? Shouldn't they be placing their standings on it before they do anything like that?
If you don't like abortions, women, why the hell did you not let the person in charge know? They can exempt you from it! What are these people coming to? D:
And, if you don't like abortions, please, don't give us your crap (unless we're debating, which I highly doubt), and don't have one. You have no right to decide anything for another woman. You may suggest, but you haven't the right to force it on them. I don't care if you're a doctor, you don't force anything on anyone.
Then she went off about how it was a early birth, abortion-isque. I don't know the proper term. She asked if the mother wanted to hold her, and the mother said no. Well, I can't help but wonder why. This child was killing her. I wouldn't want to associate with something that's killing me. How Bella Swan can make that exception, I haven't the slightest clue. Don't ask me. So, this doctor decides to hold the baby until it dies. That's fine, I suppose. But, I can't seem to understand why she did that... She couldn't have taken to such a maternal role quickly.
And, hence, is why I called the video a lie, and clicked out of it.

And, no, this phrasing isn't directed toward pro-lifers. Rather, my thoughts toward the doctor. I apologize for any confusion.

There's a lot of propaganda out there that women have to be careful of. I once picked up a bunch of information from a "family group" in my hometown mall before I realized much of it was written from a pro-life point of view. I ended up getting rid of the information that was blatantly a lie, and kept the rest (some of it is posted in the guild) that was neutral and supportive for women who'd had an abortion.

Anyways, on the internet you have to be careful too. A lot of websites spread the same lies and will create ads and videos (like the one you saw) that may be misrepresenting the facts or skewing the information in a certain direction.

If you read the "Post-Abortion Information Sticky" in this subforum, that's got some pretty general support. It's written from a Christian POV I think, so there's some references to God and the like, but it's not too bad. Post #4 in this sticky has abortion information that is strictly medical, no biasedness or skewedness of any kind. And that's the kind of information you have to look for if you're looking for abortion information online.

You could also talk to a non-pro-life doctor for abortion information. Honestly any good doctor who knows what they're doing shouldn't try to scare you out of an abortion or give you misleading information, but if they do, you can also try Planned Parenthood.

I'm sorry, I needed to get that off of my chest, that some woman is stupid enough to take part of it, knowing the cause and whatnot. =/ Excuse the poorly written rant.

I'll be sure to look into that. x3; I'm pro-life, in means of my own choices (I wouldn't have an abortion. I'm afraid of swallowing pills, and there's not a chance in hell that i'd agree to let a tube suck out a fetus. I'd rather wait a bit longer, despite the fact that childbirth scares me endlessly. And I digress.)

RosaryFilms on YouTube. I often visit her channel for debating. x3; Seeing that really messed me up though. It was too skewed for me to even bother leaving so much as a comment.

As stated above, i'm not the person who's going to be having an abortion. I often do visit a few of the sub-forums here, though. I've been meaning to comment..

I'm good. I know as much as I need to, such as the fact that it's less dangerous then pregnancy, etc. I'll go next time i'm in town, though. May be a good experience for my writing. ^_^ Thanks

It's ok. As long as the rant isn't directed at anyone in particular (like a certain guild member), then you're fine.

Lots of people have a different stance on abortion. For example, I will never get an abortion for myself unless it's medically necessary, for either me or the fetus. If I did have to get an abortion, I would be very upset and sad, but I would do it anyways because my life (or the quality of life for the baby) comes first. In that case, there are women who participate in getting an abortion, but who do so reluctantly. And there are support groups out there who've had an abortion but regretted it.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback. 3nodding

No, i'm too nice to do that.

If it's a small, minor problem, like i'm at a small chance for death, i'll still go through the pregnancy, especially if i've promised the child in question for adoption. However, if my life is in danger (like, there's a 95% chance) i'm going to keep my own life. It sounds selfish, I know, but the child in question will most likely end up dying upon coming out, and living out of the womb, even on life support. I haven't lurked about those sites.

No problem. 3nodding
