In tradition of Wolf Immortal: Death Legacy, now arises the modern-day, survival/scifi/fantasy RP we've all been waiting for!

~Storyline~
An unwritten history exists of those who once lived with mankind. These ancients are gods, demigods, angels, demons, and werewolves. These all existed in abundance, but we proved too weak for them to contend with us. Humans: the scum of the earth-or so they call us. We drenched our earth with the blood of our people, turning the very ground beneath our feet against us.
But alas, there was but one god who remained. His name long lost, he manifests himself in the form of the moon. There were men who worshipped him in those days, not understanding his true nature. One man, with the sole intention of redeeming all of mankind, threw himself upon this god's altar. In doing so, he sacrificed his sanity, peace, goodwill, and all that was human. But in doing so, he bore the overwhelming sins of our world.
This man, now an immortal beast of legend, hid himself away in the deepest reaches of the earth. During the day, he lived like any other mortal, but at the moonrise he became the rage and lusts of his world. While he might have been treated as a hero, the warriors of the earth brought everything in their power to slay this unsightly creature. Instead, they found themsleves bearing his curse.
These cursed beings were known as werewolves, feared and despised by all but the moongod himself. Heroes rose and fell against them until they all but disapeared. The ancient one-in all respects a cursed savior to our lost and confused world-had captured and imprisoned all his blighted offspring. And so they faded from memory...

In 2020, a medical breakthrough caught frontpage headlines worldwide. Vampedrin, a new miracle drug, was celebrated as a cure for sleep. This drug would, theoretically, increase human productivity by as much as 50%. While the most anticipated drug of the century was still in testing, things began to go wrong.
Black market dealers, having acquired the drug from impatient and underpaid lab assistants, began to peddle the drug to the hugely receptive public. Policemen cracked down on the dealers, but the damage had already been done.
The drug testing revealed extreme side effects, including:
-Monthly, 24 hour comas
-Little to no emotion
-Severe allergic reactions to sunlight
-Inability to create necessary proteins (supplemented by specialized protein powders/pills or by eating raw meat/blood)
-50% chance of infertility
And yet the drug was still craved for its immediate benefits:
-Sleep needs decreased to 1/12 of the average (fulfilled by coma)
-Heightening of all 5 senses
-Increased stength and heightened reflexes
-Increased healing rate
-Resistance to metal-induced wounds (metal hyperstimulates healing processes)
In rare cases, the subjects developed a thin, fur-like covering and clawed wings.

Within 5 years, the "vampires" (the name attributed to those who took the drug) were numerous and became increasingly violent and bloodthirsty. Most hide themselves indoors during the daylight hours. Others cover their bodies completely, risking that they be caught in their worst element. While some simply seek to survive, others wreak havoc by forcibly administrating the drug among the uninfected.
Realizing the threat to humankind, the ancient one has begun the release of his offspring. Now it comes down to the question of destiny: Is it too late?
