In this life we search for answers and truths
We search for explanations and proofs
We look for someone who will understand
We look for someone to hold our hand
We look for the easiest way out
We look for a choice we won’t doubt
We speak of compassion and pride
Yet we’re all dead inside
We yell and fight
And it goes on into the night
We search for items of wealth
And half of us don’t watch our health
We make things to lessen our population
We’re such a mixed up civilization
We say we want happiness and peace
Yet the battles don’t cease
We forget promises and morals
We forget that we are mortals
We make many mistakes yet we never learn
We live life without a concern
We forget to care for one another
We stab, cut, and slice each other
We buy a mask and wear it forever
Our relationships can easily severe
In this life we forget our reason to live
We forget how to forgive
We learn how to kill
We learn to just pop a pill
We forget our childhood dreams
There is a reason your soul screams
Slowly from the inside out we decay
And go on living in pain till our dieing day
