Alex balanced his suitcase, martial arts bag, and backpack on his back and left hand as he opened the dorm door with his right hand. After years of martial arts and physical excercise, doing this was quite easy. His upper body strength was very strong. Alex walked over to the bed and dropped his backpack on top of the fluffy cream-colored sheets. He then put his suitcase down next to the bed and balanced his martial arts bag on a wooden chair next to a small desk/table. He quickly unzipped his bag and took out his yoga mat.
Putting the mat down, he changed into a pair of white cotton pants, leaving his chest bare. This was how he always practiced yoga and he hoped that there was no rule about keeping his shirt on. From his backpack he took out a water bottle with warm water in it. He went to the sink and drained it. Then he refilled it halfway with water and the other half he filled with ice from the freezer.
Walking back over to his bed, he emptied his backpack and packed it with his water bottle, folded yoga mat, a pack of spearmint gum, running shoes, an orange t-shirt, and a face towel, so he could cool down and wipe the sweat off of his face. Usualy he wouldn't have packed the running shoes and t-shirt (Alex liked walking without shoes on, rocks cutting into his feet felt good to him, unlike others who said it hurt), but if Alex did get yelled at for being shirtless and shoeless he didn't want to come back to the room to change. Grabbing his room key, Alex headed out the door.
