JGR has announced that Logano will run 6 or seven races in cup this year, he will debut at RIR on Sept. 6. And if Gibbs said that they will not have a 4th car in 09, then this means that he will be in the 20 car.
Update: A TOYOTA official has stated saturday evening that Joey Logano will in fact be driving the #20 Toyota Camry in 2009. The official would not give his name due to the fact JGR was going to announce it on Monday.

I think Gibbs should do like RCR did for the 07 ride and Clint. Put in a 1 year filler to hold down the ride, until Logano is truthfully ready. We have seen this happen before stare . Richard put Dave Blaney in the 07 ride for one year so Clint could get some more Busch series time in, without the stress of the cup series. Joey is real good, but even he may begin to crack under the strain of rapid movement.

Agreed, he definitely has the potential to run great next year, but he also does not have the experience needed yet.

I still think he could do it but I think giving another year would make him even more amazing. SOme of the other guys should be hoping he comes right in-or maybe not.

I don't think any drivers want him because they know he will be good. JGR needs to find a 1 yr filler and put him in the 20 in 2010.

Logano has officially been announced today to drive the 20 car. I like his paint scheme for next year. It reminds me of Tony Stewarts first 3 years in cup.

It reminds me of Tony Stewarts first 3 years in cup. it's the first home depot paint scheme i like. Think about kyle busch though, he only ran 1 busch season before being moved up to cup and did fine.

Kurokage Sanada Dark Minion1411 Logano has officially been announced today to drive the 20 car. I like his paint scheme for next year. It reminds me of Tony Stewarts first 3 years in cup. it's the first home depot paint scheme i like. Think about kyle busch though, he only ran 1 busch season before being moved up to cup and did fine. Like Kyle Busch, Logano has a lot of talent. I think his first couple weeks might be a bit rough, but he will be the next Jeff Gordon and beat the current Jeff Gordon. This kid is the best thing since sliced bread. The only thing that makes me sad, is that he's a year younger than me. sad
