You know, I just might change it. It would be interesting, because my "Legacy" might just continue under my pen-name. Would be interesting, I'd love to have another name as well to be known as.

I would use a pen name. I don't want my friends to think "Okay... The book just plain sucked, but I can't tell her that!"
EDIT: I've decided I won't use a pen name, because I would love for my classmates to be like "Hey! That's Em! Oh man, she hates me!" Because I do hate them!!! smile

dragongirl187 I like my name - I'm not planning to change it (IF I get published). In fact, I may not even change it for marriage... lol I like my first name. If I get published I'd probably keep my maiden name - I'm not even sure if I'm changing my last name when I get married. Decisions.

I have a pretty awesome last name... everytime I tell someone my last name they're like "What was that again?" because they never believe me. xD
Still, I'd probably have a pen name. Or keep part of my name, and create another part. Mostly for privacy reasons... and because it would just be cool to have a pen name. >_>

Hm, I guess I would change my name, too. Firstly, I think it may be hard if everybody knows your name and which books you have written and that you are THAT artist. Secondly... My last name is quite rare, that's why it would be even more difficult. And finally I would LOVE to find a pen name for me. heart

No, I will not change my name. While my given name may not be me, I have lived with it for enough time that I identify myself with it. Two, my pen-name is mine, not the public's. My given name is the public's. Three, I do not care what people say about me or my work (That includes praise, too), unless it helps me get better. I refuse to hide myself.

My last name is the same as a famous fantasy writer (she actually quite popular on here apparently and no, it's not Meyer) so I think a pen name would be best. My real name, I'd keep, but my last name, although it goes extremely well with my first name, I wouldn't use it just for the confusion.

"Alexander C. Roberts" is just one of those average names that flows well.
I think I shall keep my name.
