RP Retrospective Review

I'm happy to say that Will's ability to construct verbose and illustrative sentences remains preserved as a GM. Sadly, it was wasted on a nonsensical drug trip RP, meaning nothing really had meaning since it was all fake. In fairness, his establishing post made it sound like he had mode planned and that actions would begin to have consequences, but the same could be said of all these RPs that perished before they reached the intended conclusion (I.E. All of them).

Now, to be fair, I'd be shocked as all get-out if Will and/or Elliot didn't get high before posting in this RP. This would explain the meandering nature and seemingly directionless string of sights and sounds described within the entries.

But, let's play devil's advocate here: "It's a drug trip RP, man. Your mind experiences things that ain't there and doesn't really connect. It's the nature of the beast, dude. If anything, it's more realistic with the loose thread of consciousness."

Why, yes, Hippee Strawman - You are indeed correct. From what I learned throughout Health class, that is the effect of hallucinogenic substances on the human psyche. But, from what I understand, the appeal of these mind-altering drugs is the way they make you feel first-hand. You actually feel the endorphins rushing through your brain as you hallucinate flying through the clouds with Woody Woodpecker. But an RP where you go on a pretend drug trip? The drug premise may as well not be there, since it's all make believe via online text anyway.

And if they were getting high before posting, then that would also defeat the purpose of RPing a fake drug trip - You're ALREADY HIGH.

Dumb premise. Not judging the use of the mary jane (When it's enjoyed responsibly). I am, however, judging the weak story premise on display here.

P.S. It was frigging WEIRD learning that Will NPCed me as a pothead a decade after the fact. Still, he did get my choice in beverage correct, so points there.
