Who is your favorite Liege from ShadowMoor/Eventide? Personally, from ShadowMoor I like Boartusk Liege and from Eventide I like Mindwrack Liege. Now your turn.

I think the Thistledown or the Wilt-Leaf are pretty amazing from shadowmoor. Eventide I like the Black/Green and Green/Blue ones.

the R/W liege is stupidly good.

G/B = awesome

G/U= pretty good

G/W= stupidly good

G/R = solid

W/B = ok, if you build for it it's really good

W/U = really good, that flash will end games with it's surprise factor. Suddenly the opponent didn't block with enough creatures to live, or you took out all your opponents creatures in a fight with a well timed liege

B/R = ok, but really good in R or black agro, agro/burn when your creature will get damage through even when killed by a spell.

B/U = eh, ok

U/R = seems to have some very broken possibilities.

G/W= Just WOW, immune to thoughtseize and 4/4 body is big'n meatty. Love the survivability of 4 toughness in this block. Best of all the lieges.

G/R = solid body, trample is a nice bonus, CHEAP to cast (same as G/W), 4 is nothing to pay for a liege with 4 toughness, this one is almost as good as the G/W.

R/W liege is best for its toughness/secondary ability, survives firespout and puncture blast BUT, in mono red the games over by the time you play him, so hard to say if its really all that usefull in constructed.

G/B = awesome secondary ability, my only issue is that he is too easy to nuke, and then you've used your turn 3 or 4 for nothing, which really messes with tempo.

W/B = Very worthy of constructed play. It's tough, its pricey, but the colours it's played with is a slightly slower tempo and can fit it into the curve. The W/B cards in shadowmoor are VERY strong, making the triggered ability on the liege easy to build around.

G/U= Extra untap is great, IF you have something to use it with, i was thinking merfolk mill, but dont they have a 2 mana enchantment that does the same thing, AND is a merfolk in addition?

W/U = really good, that flash will end games with it's surprise factor. Suddenly the opponent didn't block with enough creatures to live, or you took out all your opponents creatures in a fight with a well timed liege

B/R = dies to soul snuffers and anything with first strike, at first glance i loved the 4 dmg when targeted, but its pointless when it just sits back, you cant swing because it doesnt have first strike, which it should have got.

B/U = Not that bad, it does fly afterall. I just dont see any faerie deck caring about a 4 mana 3/3 flyer, even with its ability.

U/R = by the time you cast this, I'm just not sure what surprises you have left to launch at them, most of your hand should have been played by the time you have that kind of mana available. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but i think this card is just not all that great.

i was approaching it from a more casual stand point personally.

plus, the B/U is a 2/3...yeah, it sucks.

the R/B liege getting first strike would have the the thing ludicrous. Every agrro deck would need him or an answer to him.

from a standard position, the R/w is meh, but for my big red enemies deck (R/w/u, 300 cards), the thing will consistently win games for me.
