Getting ready for bed in her usual clockwork way, Catherine tugged absently at the snail shell around her neck. She reflected on the conversation she'd had with that odd green creature some two weeks prior, and again kicked herself for not thinking to ask the really important questions. Namely, when and how her supposed god-child was supposed to appear. Would the snail shell suddenly explode into some living thing? Would it summon the child to her?
The more she thought on such fanciful nonsense, the more frustrated she became.
"So. Very. Stupid," she muttered, looking at the shell as she twined the necklace around her fingers. Shaking her head, she stripped off her university uniform and changed into her pajamas, throwing herself into bed and pulling the covers over her head. She fell asleep soon after, one hand still clenching the snail shell.

As she drifted off, her soul floated up above her body, a ghost of the relic around her neck, beckoning her towards a door. This door had just randomly appeared above her and it was kind of freaky but best go through and get this idiocy over with.

To Catherine's credit, she was a great deal less high-strung in her sleep. She drifted along in this oddity of a dream willingly, passing through the door without a second thought.

When she'd reached the other side of the door it vanished, trapping her in this place. Luckily, it wasn't a big slamming of a door leaving her in an ominous room. It just quietly vanished and she was left standing in a wide open meadow.
The meadow seemed to be part of an island in the sky and clouds floated gently around her. Laying fast asleep on a small bed of clouds admist some flowers in the meadow was a young woman. She was nude from head to toe but not particularly immodest looking....just natural. Her long hair flowed down over her blue skin and drifted over the flowers. Such a strange blue creature.
The oddest bit about her 'sleep' was she didn't seem to be breathing. Just laying, peacefully, in an eternal rest. While most actually looked like they had died violently and were left to sleep, she had merely drifted off and never again woke - which was okay, really, she didn't have to do much of anything anymore, now did she?
The relic's soft glow beckoned Catherine forward towards the body, willing her to touch it.

The part of Catherine that was still vaguely awake was greatly enjoying this dream. She'd never had one so vivid before. As the clouds settled onto the ground, she moved forward without compulsion and stooped to look at the girl.
"Hm," she said, reaching out an investigative hand and lightly touching the blue girl's face.

As her hand brushed the soft skin, the figure began to glow lightly - a lazy wispy pale glow reminiscent of the goddess's power. Her relic too began to glow and soon had shot from her neck and into the mass of soft light, like it had never been a solid object at all.
Soon the gently glowing mass began to shrink, curling into a smaller, less defined figure. When it had completed, the glow faded away, leaving a small girl with soft blue skin, gentle purple tintings, and long flowing wisps of blue hair.
The babe - though one might wonder if she was infact older, given her longer legs, and thin frame - slept peacefully, like she had always been there, undisturbed.

Feeling bereft as the snail shell was presumably taken from her, Catherine watched in mild surprise at the girl's transformation. Feeling curious still, she gave another poke at the newly youthful creature, wondering what she was dreaming.

The child's reaction was mostly to shift around a bit and continue sleeping. When Catherine finally decided to pick up the baby - at least, we hope she did, otherwise they'd be stuck there for quite some time - the door reappeared in the air behind her. It was open and beckoning once more, allowing the woman and the sleeping child to exit and go into their respective bodies so as to go back to sleeping properly.
