I thought all in all, the book was really random. I mean yes, i loved the book, it was awesome.
But the end was a tad dissapointng, i mean yes it was a peaceful resolution, koombaya!
i really wanted them to fight, of course i wanted to read the romanians killing the volturi, and whoop dee doo that bella and edward get to have crazy sex whenever they want.
i just cant help but want a fight, i dont know, but the ending was good, it was good for everyone. i have to admit i didnt expct alice to pop outta no where.
so my final verdict is 9.5/10
great book.
one more thing
what the heck is up with the name Renesmee?
i know its rene and esme but..
i mean WTF stephenie?
that is a really wierd name,
im glad her nickname is nessie. 3nodding

I agree, BD was random. I felt as though SMeyer wanted all of her characters to have some kind of happy ending, so just pulled out all of the puzzle pieces and forced them together.
I wanted a fight too and I thought I was going to get it with all that damn build up, but no. Dx No, no, no. I hated that.
I wish her first name was Carlie. I like that name. I understand the naming logic (kinda) behind Renesmee, but Carlie sounds much better. Thank God for Jacob for the nickname.

Stephenie wrote the first draft of Breaking Dawn like, five years ago. She didn't just throw this together or "forced the pieces together." It's been in her head for a while.
There wasn't a fight because they hadn't done anything wrong. Now, it may have been more exciting with a fight, but wouldn't really make sence.
And in my opinion, Renesmee is a cute name. Like I said, Stephenie said that this has been in her mind from the begining, so it's like a real name to her.
And besides, she doesn't really write for us, she writes for herself.

I really like the Renesmee, but I like unquie names!!
I was really hoping at the end that the Volturi and Cullens would fight and the Cullens would be the next royalities!! That would have been cool.
Also I wish I could have amazing sex whenever I wanted and it last all night!

I think she had the basic outline of Edward and Bella's events, but she decided to "force" other pieces of the Twilight puzzle into Breaking Dawn. Those other pieces being what had been built in New Moon and Eclipse.
The only beef I have with the name of Bella's child is how it's pronounced. There is a double e on the end, so why does Bella say "may"?
As for Meyer writing for herself and not us, I can understand since I do write for myself, but she herself went out to get her works published. So of course she expected people to read it and is no longer a valid defense.

I agree with the first part... I would have liked to see the Volturi destroyed...leaving them out like that was just so unsatisfying. If the Volturi were as corrupt as they seemed to be (what with all the freaking BUILD UP) they would have thrown down with the Cullens just cuz they damn well wanted to...and then the Cullens would kick their asses. PERFECT! ...i hate it when she makes us read like 100+ pages about "wittnesses" and "considering" and all that b.s. and then nothing happens! all in all...i'll give the book a 5.5/10

It may have been a tad bit random but that was kinda the fun of... the unexpected-ness.
