notes:
-im not 100% sure on what else im going to do with it yet or if the twirly wooden parts are going to stay there.
-theres an actual modified clock face on it
-being a non-guitarist i didn't realise the cog parts could get in the way depending on how its played

well i gave guitar customization a go and i think it looks alright.
what are your opinions on it?

I think you should stain the wooden bits or something...just so they don't look like they came right out of a store...

And the numbers are a little odd. I dunno if you could paint black over them, and then paint or get stickers of more antique-looking/fancy numbers...

Adding clock hands to the face would also seriously rock.

Otherwise, it looks pretty cool ^_^ good job

Unfortunately, it looks very amateurish. It looks like it came out of the shop, then was passed around to three different people who all glued things on it.

I apologize for being harsh, but this is my honest opinion. What you really need to do is remove and modify the fretboard, paint and/or sand the body, and consolidate your design to one of the styles you currently have on it. The brass gears are good (but need to be placed somewhere else,) but the wooden bits look tacky and don't go with the brass at all.

The wood and brass COULD go together, but cannot be done well with your current pieces. Having four of the same thing looks store bought, and very cheap. If you do use your current wood peices, don't use as many, and stain them to go with the base and brass.

All in all, you need to go absolutely all out, not just put on the things you have at hand without altering the base. That's the easy way out, and it looks cheap. More planning needs to be put into this. It has potential.

haha no problem, it is very amateurish, as i am an amateur after all, i don't even play guitar

i think im going to strip it all down and start again from scratch,
i doubt im ever going to play it, so it doesnt matter anymore if i render it unplayable.......
