All right Fin's! Here's a contest that's sure to please!
This contest will be a poetry contest about my favorite topic:
Fantasy and/or dragons
It can be free verse or straight line poetry (16-bar preferred, can be 8 ), as long as it's about fantasy and/or dragons.
Entries are due by August 20 and will be judged by me and the existing crew of Fin's.
PM your entries to me.
Prizes are as follows:
1st--10k
2nd--5k
3rd--3 random items from my inventory (Might be worth more than 10k, might not, that's why it's random)

I'll try, although I admit I'm not great at poetry.
"Fire blowing, nostrils flaring,
He stands on his hind legs.
Not that smart, never daring,
To leave these iron gates.
He flaps his wings,
Once, then twice,
And the breeze sings,
He can't help but think how nice
It is to fly again.
Over country, rivers, seas,
He glides throughout the day.
Sending villagers down to their knees,
For they are his prey."

Earth made purely Seth
Sought to see,

Dragon black with death

Crying call,

I must say, mine makes my fingers tingle.
I surprised myself with it.
But yours gives me special pleasure as well.
You don't see many of that type well written.
^^ I like poetry.

I'm way too special... ...It just seems to be my narration.
I'm almost incapable of writing decent poetry other ways.
I try though, I try.
Here's more of a silly one, rather than contest-worthy.
"In my bookbag, I confess,
Lies the dragon from my desk.
It ate my homework, and when it was done,
It started on my honey bun.
I opened up my bookbag-it gave an evil hiss!
So I sat it on my teacher's desk with a big, fat Hershey's Kiss! To ride the short bus.

Lemme clarify the rules,
1. Submissions (I will allow up to three maximum) MUST be PM'd, but those that are already in this thread will be accepted regardless since I don't want you to have to retype it in a PM...
2. Entries are due by midnight EDT August 20.
3. There will be two rounds of voting, one by me and existing crew, and another after primary judging by the guild members.
That's all the clarification I think it needs... Have fun...

Didn't want you to waste energy doing that so you could focus on entries... Oh, and to the existing crew, if you submit stuff, you just can't vote for yourself in the preliminaries... members can vote on ya though ^.=.^
Oh, and by midnight, I mean when the clock rolls over to midnight on the 19th into the 20th, entries will cease... (Just in case there was some confuzzledness...)
