How about a "Blood and Chocolate" rp?

I have a few idea's for things that could happen with the moon that could affect werewolfs.
1.on a blue moon werwolfs can levitate.
2.werewolfs are stronger when the moon is closer.
3.when the moon is yellow werewolfs can use special pollen magic.
4.when there's an eclipse the wolf side of you splits from you till the end of the day.
5.on a red moon you can transform into a different type of werewolf. (like into a more human-like form or a more beast-like form)

I would "Play" if there was a blood and chocolate rp thing but ive never rped and would need to be told the "rules". Ya Know?

What about a situation were someon would like to be a different kind of lycan instead of a wolf, say a boar a bear or a gorilla thrown out for depth of characters? whee

Why don't you like the allergy to silver? All werewolves regardless of build have a weakness to silver, it balances out the fact that they regenerate like no ones business.
i like it just don't love it, i've heard of that so many times sweatdrop
What if it was more of a power binding effect where exposure to silver didn't physically hurt you like burns and cuts that won't heal but more of a way to prevent the powers of a lycan being effective almost like kryptonite. For example a werewolve wearing a silver collar would have his powers bound so no transformation would be possible and it could be used like shark repelant in the way of going near silver would actually force a person out of which ever form they are in back to human form, pure human. Just an idea.

I once read a book where the werewolves were harmed by silver because, long ago, werewolves abused their power and the Goddess of the Moon (the one that created them) said that the silver light (SILVER) of the moon will not only be their power but also their weakness.

That, my children, is why werewolves are "allergic" to silver. dun dun DUN!!!
I tend not to like the whole silver weakness bit for a couple of reasons...

I prefer to play characters- not just werewolves, but any characters I create- not at all as their mythical or actual basis might imply. My werewolf characters are usually not the "bitten" sort, but the "born, druidic, or shapeshifting" varieties. I have never assumed that just because a character I play is a werewolf he or she has greater regeneration, or even strength beyond that a very strong human might achieve. Most of the strengths and weaknesses I portray in my characters are particular to them (though not by any means exclusive).

Far from being unnatural and in any way cursed, most of my characters percieve their abiilty to change form as a gift. Some don't give it a second thought at all, like humans not pondering excessively about their opposable thumbs or upright posture.

But ultimately, I play my characters in compliance with the ruleset I am working under.


If allowed, I would like to toss up some suppositions, to see if any are acceptable here for use in roleplay?

1) There are three phases of a werewolf state; humanoid, mid-shifted, and fully wolven.
2) Being called to the hunt is sometimes powerful enough to cause the shift to initiate, regardless of self control.
3) Females are capable of conceiving young at any stage of the shift, but must give birth in that same stage.
4) The eyes of the werewolf see as clearly during the humanoid state as the wolven state; likewise, scent and sound are easily detectable.
5) Fully shifted werewolves cannot speak any other language but the wolven dialects.
6) Fully shifted werewolves do not have opposable thumbs.
7) Fully shifted werewolves can not use magic, unless it is purely elemental.
cool Rank within a pack is not only determined by fighting ability.
9) Werewolves can eat an omnivorous diet.
10) Werewolves are ruled by the physical laws every other creature must deal with.

2. That's okay. Though, maybe they could have a certain time limit? After the howl is called, they know they have, maybe, ten minutes before the howl effects their body and changes it?

Great. I thought maybe some of the suppositions were more like common sense (unwritten) but figured I couldn't be too careful. I've been in just a couple roleplays where the mods were... shall we say... extremely specific about rules and possible abilities.
