I'll go through the gameplay stuff..soon. But I'm curious to see how that'll differ--if they'll do anything big with the touch screen...though they seems kind of hard with a game like Fire Emblem? Even playing the Wii one I simply felt like I'd put it into my Gamecube...Which is expected with a turn-base game, of course.
I have to disagree, though, with your comments of Marth. He's manlier..ish. But I still find Marth to be very feminine. Though that, to me, is a good thing. ;D
And those Sprites! <33 Totally awesome. I'm not much a Sprite Splicer in the first place...[though aparently two of my friends are forcing me to do just that...to make one of myself. @w@; ), but I can see how it will be quite difficult. On the other hand, it'll also allow YOU to up your skill because now you need to work to improve[unless you're already that talented & if so, major kudos to you] so that it's all very smooth. ;3

Am I the only one who doesn't like the new sprites? They look kinda boring to me. The new art is good though.
I'm not sure if I'll use the class change or not. There still needs to be a lot cleared up on it.

The class change seems to say that your levels will be the same, the only thing that will change is the base stats for a class. For me, sometimes there is a character that is for whatever reason really difficult to use. in those instances, a class change might be able to save them from total abandon for the rest of the game. and then there are characters like tauroneo, the strangely fast, but relatively speaking, weak general. Imagine making him an uberpowerful swordmaster instead? With his stats as they are, he would be almost as fast as a normal swordmaster after the change, but a TON stronger, and capable of taking a hit. Add in adept, and its a scary thought. That, I think, is why it was first conceived in the first game. Probably why it didn't last is because the games became more complex, and because of that, it was too much for a cartridge-based system to handle.
I think that the newer games are starting to look back towards the older games for inspiration, so this feature might see reinstatement in the true FE11 in the future, all depending on how well FEDS is received.
And yes, the man skirt is just wrong.

I'm not liking the new sprites too much either.
And class change also affects your growths. Some of which actually subtract. sad

Yeah, I was pretty sure the class change affected more than your base stats. I remember looking at serenes forest and they said growths WITHOUT class change. Worried me a bit.
