Well, I am a self taught graphic designer. I have been useing Adobe CS3 and JASC animation pro shop 3 for about three year now. I dont use tablet, as of yet but I will get one soon. I use allot of Deviantart.com stock for my edits and have learned most of what I know from there tutorials online.

It is a nice portfolio worth of stuff. Not exactly formal but it does show you have skills. For the sake of getting a job, you might want to try some more practical/conservative/formal stuff.
