"'Ey Kai? 'Ave you seen the brush?"
Saravati's thick, yet rather elegant accent floated out from the bathroom as she fussed over herself. She wouldn't be having this problem of appearance, she thought, if they were going someplace normal... For some odd reason, though, Kai had felt the need to pamper her endlessly for a special night out. Usually they were content lying low in the great city, but he had insisted (almost frantically) that they go someplace with a bit more glamour.
Cat ears were the first thing to appear around the door frame before her auburn hair and angular desert face reeled around as well. Saravati was rather striking, even in her angst.
"Kai?"

" Yes dear, I have." He grinned and ran the silver creation through his own mane, before sweeping his black hair into a low ponytail, looking slick in his fine dinner jacket, black pants and dark blue dress shirt. He turned and tossed it to her, before rifling through his socks.
" Almost ready, love?"

Sara snatched the brush out of the air with the precision of a Cule. Although she had lost most of her true heritage through her displacement, there were certain genetic traits that could never be lost.
She pulled the brush through her shorter hair, and finally emerged from the bathroom dressed in a green, snug-fitting gown. The fabric ended at her feet in ruffles, giving her the effect of a mermaid or perhaps some sort of upside down flower. Regardless of what it looked like, Sara liked it, simply because it was green, and it was her belief that there was not enough green in the world.
"I'm ready right now, Kai. Though I think I need a leetle kiss before we go out." Yet another genetic trait was her lithe step and slow grace, seen as she sauntered over to him for the kiss she needed to be complete.

Kai beamed at her, cupping her cheeks in his palms and bending his face to kiss her mouth.
" Better?" He asked, pulling away a few seconds later. He grinned and landed several kisses on her neck, before offering his arm. He pat down his pocket with a free hand, making sure everything was there; phone, wallet, engagement ring.
He nodded and smiled down at Sara.

"Of course..." Sara's fingers gently touched his cheek before they moved to take his hand. Even if they were tipped with something resembling claws, she was always, always careful with him. Not that she needed to be. Kai could take care of himself, as could she. But Sara loved him so, even if her sometimes gruff exterior didn't show it.
With a smile, Sara began walking with him out the door. "Let's go out."

The entire night had been an incredible success. Kai and Saravati were engaged, and the two had never looked more enthralled with each other. They had been in love for quite some time, but somehow the knowledge that Kai wanted to spend his forever with her made him even more incredible.
When they arrived back in the hidden home, Sara immediately flung off her shoes. They were beautiful, but painful. The second thing she did was envelop Kai in a loving hug.
She said nothing, just held him.

Kai pulled off his shoes as well and his jacket, before wholeheartedly hugging her, leading them both over to the couch where they cuddled and said not a word, just smiling, holding eachother, and marveling at the night.
" Would you like any sort of dessert?" Was the question that broke the silence, as Kai moved his head to look into her face and smile.

A sleepy little 'no thank you' was given before Sara opened her eyes, and to her surprise, saw only him. Beautiful, she thought, even if the word was usually reserved for females.
"How could you not have found some other girl to spend the rest of your days with? Mr. Tall Dark an' Handsome," she joked as she pressed her nose against his. "All that Subile in you to give you mysteries..."

Kai smiled and bent to kiss her.
" You'll do just fine, thanks." He said in a joking tone, before sweeping her up into his arms. They moved through the halls to their room, where he set her down on the bed, kissed her forehead, and walked over to the dresser to find pajamas.
" Is there anything else you need, Sara?" The half a Subile asked, smiling at her over his shoulder.

"Jus' my own PJ's," she said with a laugh. "I'm not sleeping in my dress, now. It's not that comfortable."
Sara picked herself up out of the comfy bed and walked over to her drawer, where she puled out a tanktop and bottoms before taking them into the bathroom.
She would shower, come out looking wet and radiant to Kai, and then flop down in bed with the elated little smile she'd had stuck on her face since they were at the restaurant.
And that is precisely what she did.
Saravati smelled much like Kai, since she liked using his soaps and his shampoo. Smelling like a man didn't bother her one bit.
