In any event, allow me to pass on some of my knowledge. I'm no expert, but I do know much about how the game works. Unfortunately, I can only put up som much until Gaia decides to log me off again. cool

Ruffin316's Commandments of Dead or Alive

arrow Thou shall know thy paper-rock-scissors game engine. If your opponent attacks, reverse (counter). If he/she reverses (does the animation, not neccasarily reverse your attack), throw. If he/she throws, attack. 3nodding

arrow Thou shall read thy opponent, not guess. While your playing, keep your eyes on your opponent, that way you can see where an attack is aimed and reverse accordingly. It also helps to practice against the various characters with the difficulty at maximum. 3nodding

arrow Thou shall not button-mash all willy-nilly. This goes for any game; if you button-mash against a seasoned player (i.e. myself, and no, I'm not bragging), since your only doing certain combos/moves, you'll lose quick, fast, *and* in a hurry.

arrow Thou shall not stare at the females. Nor shall thou perform certain actions to make the girls' chest bounce all crazy-like. stare

arrow Thou shall know thy character eight ways from Sunday. If you're using a character but don't know how, you shouldn't have picked him/her in the first place. If you are using one of you well-knowns, use anything and everything at your disposal; combo setups, critical hits, cross-up moves, the whole kit and caboodle (heh... caboodle).

arrow Thou shall use juggle/wall-combos whenever possible. For juggles, they make you look fancy. Walls reset the damage counter, allowing you to apply more hurt, pain, and other such nastiness that I cannot paint in vivid detail. twisted

arrow Thou shall not be afraid to block. Blocking can help avoid very ugly situations, such as getting raped by a Christie user who can utilize her *very* confusing attack strings.

arrow Thou shalt practice and pwn n00bs relentlessly. Self-explanatory. whee
