It was painfully cute, really it was. It was a kids movie, of course, so don't expect complexity, but they did a really good job of creating a real sense of risk. I was surprised that the captain was not the caricature I was expecting from the set up. The visuals were stunning, the principals charming, and the world building had plenty of cool little touches. Well worth seeing.

I cried during the crushing scene, and I love the idea that we all get fat on a space cruise.
