Bio: she was five when her parents died in a fire unknown how it happened when she was seven she was found by a boy called hatori also seven who is a studet of an elderly man named kyo as ide lived in a cave next to a waterfall for two years he then took me to his master and i became kyos student and hatoris partner we were ready to enter at 12 soon to be 13 as we had an extra two years of training before the tournament was to begin.

Bio (beware it's a long one): It may sound weird and confusing, but I'll try to make it as understandable as possible.
Well, first things first. Kanji (the spirit) was a famous DJ on the internet when Laura was about 6. Besides her music, what people knew about her is that...they knew nothing. She never ever revealed something about her to the public- her age, location, even gender. It was a whole mistery. But that didn't stop young Laura to send an "e-mail of apreciation" to her new idol. Well...in fact, it was the last e-mail Kanji would ever get. Because just about 3 hours later, she and her cat died in a rather stupid car accident.
She felt unfulfiled, unable to go to heaven. Remember, at that time Kanji was only 20, with a great-looking career in front of her...Besides- she had forgotten to do something. Usually, she always replyed fan-emails with at least a "thank you". But, she had forgotten to reply Laura's...
Nobody knows how, but, after a year of searching (because she had nothing better to do) Kanji found Laura. She didn't intend to do much-maybe just look at the last fan that contacted her and say a "thank you" that wouldn't have been heard anyways. But there was something strange- Laura could see Kanji and Missy.
Since then, they've been almost inseparable.
