For me, Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~. I borrowed all 26 episodes from our SUAnime lending library. It was something I read the manga of a while back and liked.
This really is the cutest show. The premise sounded like a typical harem at first, but it really isnt...the main character Ryushi is a really innocent adorable guy who wants to be a children's picture book illustrator. And all the other characters are awesome. Besides the pretty landlandy Kozue, the tennants of the inn he stays at are Momomo, who gets drunk alot and seems to like playing matchmaker and getting in trouble, Tama-chan, a rather creepy girl who likes freaking people out alot and seems to be a photo-nut (often liking to take embarassing photos of people) Asami-chan, a cute middle-schooler who lives in a room with her very strange, very depressed and not-quite-all-there mother who acts alot more childish than she does, and Haibara, a guy in a kimono that never speaks directly, only through ventriloquism by way of his dog hand-puppet Johnny.
There's a twist; there's actually more characters than this, and they're all within the landlandy Kozue, who has multiple personality disorder. I wont spoil how many personalities there are, but she can change without warning, and her alternate personalities are different people entirely.
I absolutley love this series; it is -not- a typical harem series at all. There's very little to no fanservice and the characters are all very well developed. Plus its just so gosh-darned cute. Ryushi is just the cutest thing ever.
