Indian Mongoose Distribution and habitat
This species occurs naturally throughout most of southern mainland Asia, from Iraq to China, as well as on the island of Java, at altitudes up to 2200 m. It has also been introduced to dozens of islands in the Pacific and Caribbean, and a few in the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean, as well as to mainland Venezuela. It is capable of living among fairly dense human populations.
Mongooses lives in scrublands and dry forest. On Pacific Islands they live in rainforests as well.
Diet
These mongooses mostly eat insects but are opportunistic feeders and will eat crabs, frogs, spiders, scorpions, snakes, and birds. Mongooses are not immune to snake venom; rather they strike so quickly as to avoid being bitten by the snake. In order to kill the snake, they attack it with repeated quick bites until it is able to get a favorable lock right behind the head. Then it grasps the snake with its forepaws and rolls over the snake, putting a hind leg on either side of the snake, and rolls on its side.
They are very playful, and spend a lot of time interacting with one another. They also practice mutual grooming. Like many mongoose species, they will sun themselves to warm up in the morning by stretching out on a raised surface. If the temparature gets too hot, they will lay on their stomachs in the shade. Appearance They have five digits on each hand/foot, and the palms are devoid of hair. Their bushy tail can be 2/3 to one times the length of the body.

Name: Kabalebo and Suriname Gender: Females Animal: Harpy Eagles
Hairstyle: Wispy in nature one wears hers long and the other wears as a bob, once again a very 1920's look about them. Hair Colour: Silverish white, leaning towards a slate blue range Skin color: White...they're covered in short downy feathers Clothing: They dress in complimenting opposites, if one wears black the other wears white. They are more interested in dressing classy and elegantly, think Casablanca. Personality: These two will be best friends and enjoy taking down their foes together. So reliant together they have little need for family, the eventually do accept the others as theirs and do watch out for them grudgingly. One seems to be more reserved then the other but in reality they like to play off of people judging their reactions to certain things. They do everything together, from playing to bathing, from sleeping to dating. Any guy would be lucky or not so lucky because the twins will date them at the same time. Think conjoined twins with out actually being conjoined. They feel what the other is feeling.
Kaba: A spitfire compared to her sister, she enjoys causing trouble the most of the two. Sorter hair of them. More flirty, and sexually out there. First to adventure out in things, older of the twins by seconds.
Suri: The real brains behind it all so to speak, she watches for a weakness and stores it in her memory for later, waiting for a potential kill. Longer hair, she is like Katherine Hepburn a lady with a tongue sharp enough to cut glass. calculating and devious she seems to come out of left field when she attacks, her sister serves as the distraction for this pair.
Markings: Those of the eagle would be fine, I love the subtle play of the steels and grays. I would like a collar of feathers around shoulder area to represent the double crest they normally have. Eye color: Black obsidian that take up the whole eye Eye style: eventually seductive

Harpy Eagle
The Harpy Eagle is arguably the biggest eagle yet the Philippine Eagle is the only living eagle to surpass it in size. The extinct Haast's Eagle of New Zealand was almost 50% larger.
The Harpy Eagle’s back is covered with slate black feathers and the undercarriage is coated with white. There is a black band across the chest going up to the neck. Its head is pale grey and is crowned with a double crest. This coloring gives it a fearsome look to match its menacing reputation. Due to living in the rainforest, it has shortened wings for speed and maneuverability, and it also has sharp talons which are great for catching its prey. The Harpy Eagle is one of the largest and most powerful eagles in the world; it can grow to a huge length of 36-40 inches (mostly the females of this species). It can reach a weight of 20 pounds and is relatively half the height of an average-sized human.
Female Harpy Eagles average 100-110 cm (3.3 feet) in length with a 200 cm (6 ft 7 in) wingspan and typically weigh 6.5 kg to 9 kg (14 to 20 lbs.). One exceptional captive female, "Jezebel", weighed 12.3 kg (26 lbs.).[3] Only the Philippine Eagle and the Steller's Sea Eagle approach similar dimensions. The male, in comparison, weighs only about 3.8 kg to 5.4 kg (8.5 lbs. to 12 lbs.).
The Harpy Eagle is dark grey overall, with an ash-grey head, and white belly. Both sexes possess an erectile crest of long feathers. The talons are up to 13 cm (5 in) long, longer than a Grizzly Bear's claws.
This species is an actively hunting carnivore. Its main prey are tree-dwelling mammals such as monkeys, coatis, and sloths; it may also attack other bird species. The talons are extremely powerful and help assist with suppressing prey. The Harpy Eagle can exert a pressure of 42 kgf cm² (4.1 MPa or 530lbf in) with its talons.[4] It can also lift more than three-quarters of its body weight.
