I've been hearing lots of things about the Wii and PS2 versions being worse but now I've heard that they won't include the Line 6 POD in the music creator. Why would they only put it in the PS3 and XBox 360 version? If they are really not putting it in, it would ruin the whole point of making your own music.

The Wii and PS2 aren't as powerful as the PS3 or Xbox 360. There were probably some technical issues that they couldn't get over, so they decided to scrap it.
That's my thought, anyway.

But why on Earth would they take that out instead of something else that won't really make a difference.

It's not that easy. Chances are, it wouldn't have mattered what they took out. The engine is probably so technical it wouldn't really matter what was removed, the PS2 or Wii still wouldn't be able to handle it. You can't just take out stuff to make other things work. Sometimes the hardware just isn't powerful enough to run the software you want it to.

Take the upcoming PS3 multiplayer-only game, MAG (Massive Action Game).
They wanted to make it for both 360 and PS3, but the 360's hardware and servers couldn't support 256 players online in one game at the same time. So you can't just take away say equipment and graphics to make the system work, it's the hardware itself that won't run the process.
If you don't understand where this is coming from it's from the most recent post, about not being able to take out elements for others to work.
